'mon Arsenal, you know you want to!
If we all chip in, we might be able to pay someone to take him.Can we all help?
This is the hardest part to be honest.Cash in on him and......, simple.
We could bear part of his wages if we're willing to let him go for a reasonable fee? Obviously not too reasonable as he's still very talented. This is the hardest part to be honest.
He did not show his talent or ability on the pitch for the past 18 months or so. His lack of off the ball movement as a forward/wide forward is an issue and his wages is another big issue. It is not easy to move on unwanted players on high wages nowadays. As an arsenal fan I won't take him because he didn't work hard enough as arsenal against top 4 team we no longer have the possession anymore. We can't carry a player like that, let alone his big wages. As big an admirer of his as I was, it feels like his time his nearly done. I said this season was his last chance and he doesn't seem to have it anymore.
It's a real shame given his ability but it is what it is

Absolutely. He without a shadow of doubt is immensely gifted but his game has fallen apart from that period, which is why selling him being the best outcome for us, is a shame. Completely wasting his career. He did not show his talent or ability on the pitch for the past 18 months or so. I know what youre saying and its the clubs fault for throwing these contracts around like confetti to dead wood like Martial, Jones, and others. Its a football club not a charity. He has a 250k per week contract until 2024. We cannot force him to move and accept a lower wage at another club if he does not want to - and it would be problematic to find a club willing to pay him that. It is prohibitively high for the clubs likely to be interested in him (I suppose it is the likes of Lyon or Italian clubs).
Hes paid £250.000 a week to basically play 45 minutes every now and then and contribute nothing. We should have sold him the minute another club showed an interest in him.Not if it's Martial wanting to leave, rather than the club wanting him gone, it isn't.
Same undiagnosed stomach issue as Lukaku...In all seriousness, what’s happened him? He looks a shadow of the player he once was. Looks heavier too. Can’t all be laziness surely!?
Not sure. He's insisted he's a 9, despite all his managers saying he's not, even Solskjaer said he lacks a strikers instinct and won't break his nose for a goal. Maybe he's trying to bulk up and become that classic back to goal forward? Either way, whatever he's done to his game it's ruined him, he should go back to France where he probably still has some goodwill. In all seriousness, what’s happened him? at the current rate of decline he will end up like Sanchez which would be a shame because on his day he’s fantastic
Doesn't sound good.....
Think I'm about done, and I am (was?) A huge fan
Apparently Lyon made an offer? But the summer market was quiet as everyone wanted to reduce their wage budget, not increase it."Should have sold him in the summer."
What club put in an offer? A club Martial would be willing to move to?
Should we not have gotten Sancho or Ronaldo until we sold Martial?
Every player in the squad should be given chances, in less important matches. The League Cup (especially earlier stages) are one of those matches. Now he got a full 90 minutes and cannot complain in the future if he's left down the pecking order. Now he's likely relegated to the bench again barring any injury crisis, and may get some chances at the end of matches, but unless he takes those chances well he shouldn't start any matches of importance (at least not at CF).
As a man that doesn't hang players out to dry, this is very bad news for Martial. Solskajer has been loyal to him and he's doing his best to get him sacked with these performances, including 7 goals in more than a season.

Honestly, no matter what we're going to have to pay him to play elsewhere for a few years, we might as well have done it this summer just gone. It doesn't matter who the team is, if they're willing to loan him and contribute to some of his salary then we move him on. If he refuses to go then tell him he's 5th choice at United in the CF position and probably won't play again this season unless we have a bunch of injuries.
He's not good enough to play CF but he's bulked up too much to play LW, he doesn't have a position anymore.
I think he would have got more minutes if Ronaldo hadn't come in. We'd probably be starting him most games now, which would be utterly depressing. Hopefully he realises that this just isn't working for him and he needs to move on. As long as we cover his salary up to what he's currently on he shouldn't have any issues joining Lyon or Inter on loan in JanThey offered to loan him on deadline day. Martial turned them down himself. That late in the window you've likely made up your mind for the coming season and don't want to make changes unless someone comes in for you convincingly. And with James leaving and Rashford out for a while, he probably figured he'd get enough chances (maybe he even knew Cavani would be out for a while). Maybe he didn't think Sancho would start on the LW over him.
According to other reports we were willing to sell him all summer for offers north of £25m. But again, Martial must have been willing to move himself.
Yeah, I think we have to potentially look at it like a Jesse situation. Best for him and us, I still think there's a hell of a player in there.I think he would have got more minutes if Ronaldo hadn't come in. Moving to another club includes moving to another city and in the cases of the clubs you quoted, another country. That's not as simple as choosing what to eat tonight. Players have lives. If he doesn't want to move there's nothing Manchester United can do.I think he would have got more minutes if Ronaldo hadn't come in. I'm sure he'd settle fine back in Monaco, Lille or Lyon. Milan isn't bad either, it doesn't have a Gay Village or a curry mile but I think he'd be alright.Moving to another club includes moving to another city and in the cases of the clubs you quoted, another country.
