I wonder if he wants to leave? Maybe that's why he's not getting picked?
Finally he isnt getting in the squad, we already got Lukaku for the Plan B and lump it to him if we need to. Fellaini just isnt good enough
It's bloody hard to head a balloon tbf. Timing is even harder.Lukaku could not head even a balloon. He has no concept of heading at all.
you guys do not understand. Fergie won because we had other options available. Right now we do not have those options available. Selling him is good if we get the players we need so that we do not need that option of Fellaini. Right now we do not have that options of buying those players before the summer.

He is a player who is going to be missed when all other options do not work.
Beautiful. Fellaini finally being phased out.
I'd say more than McTominay, rather than those two. Although McTominay did outperform them against Reading to be fair to him.We could have used him though. Much more than Fred or Pereira.
Yes move him in the summer by all means but while he is here he is useful. I feel he would have done a better job than Lukaku today coming on late in the game.
Would have done better than Lukaku yesterday. If you want someone to bring down long balls and hold the ball up to take pressure off the defence Fellaini's your boy. The fact he didn't make the bench in a game where his attributes would clearly have been tactically useful probably means he'll be gone by the end of the Summer.
Is apparently on borrowed time according to Jim White, reckons Ole wants rid and doesn't like his attitude. He also thinks McTominay could be on the way out but has said Fellaini "specifically" is being pushed out
If it's true? Don't know, but if it is, finally a manager who gets it.
This is not true for the fact at this moment in time Ole has no say in who goes or who stays as he is only the Interim Manager. The new incoming manager may want him to stay so the club is not going to let Ole make any decisions on any players.
We have no idea what is happening behind the scenes
Of course we all know. If Ole is going to be the manager then he would have support in this this window too. The fact that he has said he has no options to get anyone in January means that the club has not decided. It would also be foolish to give the Manager's position now as there is a lot of the season to go.
Lukaku was on the bench as a back-up striker, he's clearly a better striker than Fellaini who isn't even a striker. Fellaini may be better at that one specific thing as you point out but if Martial or Rashford had got injured then Lukaku was a better option to replace them with yesterdays tactics.

Rubbish. They all do it. Liverpool have often left VVD up top when they're chasing a game, even City go more direct.None of the other top sides resort to hoof ball if plan A isn’t working, they tweak tactics or have other options. Ole isn’t making same mistake as his predecessors and resorting to a plan B that no other top team uses or wants to use. Wasn’t missed today and won’t be if he is moved on now or in the summer.

Fellaini has to go. I have no doubt about that. But if Fellaini is available and then if the Manager does not use him because he would have been much more useful than Lukaku for sure then it does not show the manager in a good light. The same with the players too in that regard. If he an asset of the club and if he can be better used than the current asset that is being used then it is the manager's problem.
You're right. Our issue wasn't that we frequently used it as our plan B, it was that we had to use our plan B as often as we did.Yup. Seen liverpool do it , Spurs did exactly the same when they brought in Llorente in last 10 mins. I have no qualms in doing it if nothing is working out. It's just that it cannot become a regular pattern. 90% of games we should be winning without hoofing.
I hope Ole is not using Fellaini to pander to the crowd who perceive him as the mascot for everything wrong that has happened in the past 4 years. But if it's an attitude problem in truth, his ostracization is justified.

I'm apathetic towards whether Fellaini stays or leaves, but the continued devaluation of his contribution during his time here is wrong.
Yeah that's true, I guess Fellaini would have taken the place of Fred, McTominay or Pereira on the bench. I think Ole's plan when we came under pressure was to use a fresh Lukaku as an out-ball by clearing the ball into the channels to him to chase. As it happened, he ended up just loitering around in the middle of the pitch in an area where Fellaini would have been far more useful, but Fellaini would have been equally ineffective in the above gameplan as Rom ended up being.
He would have been very useful to bring on yesterday - especially when Llorente came on.
