Is this the lowest we’ll fall?
One of the references was probably from his former FC Twente manager, Steve McClarenThey probably just checked his references, all of whom say he's a good lad.
Well hopefully it's a 2 year deal plus an option of an extra year. In that situation, we use him as a squad player this season, he's largely redundant the year after and we don't exercise the option.besides all the issues with the person. a 3 year deal isnt stop gap. We will be left with a usless 36 year old probably on good wages
I don't think so. At this point we're not finishing above 8th in the league, which would be even worse. Is this the lowest we’ll fall?

I dont recal a worst idea for a transfer in my 35 years as a man utd fanIs this the lowest we’ll fall?
Yep, something like Newcastle or Leicester. A couple of injuries to "key players" and we could be looking at an Everton like season. Or am I going OTT here?I see a Newcastle last year like season

Incredible. Leak PR about background checks, attempt to sign a racist and a player whose agent is an absolute demon. Profit
How many stop-gaps can the ST position take in 5 years? Ibrahimovic, Ighalo, Cavani, Ronaldo and now Arnautovic?
Last striker under 30 that we signed was literally Martial. 7 years ago.
Ighalo transfer looks much better now, isn't he?I dont recal a worst idea for a transfer in my 35 years as a man utd fan

Lukaku?

i ddint have an issue with Ighalo. It was what it was. A loan, stop gap in January when noone else was avaialble fastIghalo transfer looks much better now, isn't he?

This is a target that even our likely rivals this season like West Ham would go for at this point.
Yes but they’ve moved on and he’s getting on now. They’ve already had him so I guess it is our turn.

They’ve got Kiefer Moore so he wouldn’t get much of a look in thereNeville said Bournemouth
Yes, there are a lot of stories from his early career (borrowing Eto'os car and crashing it; joining Werder Bremen with CL winner boots without playing a minute or also a funny story with policemen in Vienna. This was all 10 years and longer ago. He grew as a person over the last few years, is now the most consistent performer in our national team over the last 10 years and he is in the top 3 in terms of popularity in Austria (next to Alaba and Hinteregger, who retired and is also a "special" character). On his good days he can make the difference for Austria and Bologna. However, I think he is not good enough to spend ~10m and we should look at other targets.I know he had some early troubles at Inter and people are speaking about the one specific incident, but has there been any other problems regarding his personality?
He was labeled similiarly to Ibrahimovic and I’d assume there are issues around how he grew up, maybe some nationalism in his family life, some early ego and perhaps not the best reasoning to piece it all together?
Not everybody grows up in a comfortable environment, people make mistakes, have prejudices without being terribly malicious.
maybe we should trust Ten Hag and McClaren who actually managed him and seemed to like him when he was the precocious brat.
Our strikers post RVP have been as follows*:
Arnautovic (33)
Ronaldo (36)
Cavani (34)
Ighalo (30)
Lukaku (24)
Ibrahimovic (34)
Falcao (28, but he literally came off the back of a huge ACL injury)
* I wouldn’t even count Martial, he was a left winger when we signed him, no?
Well, Falcao was a also loan to be fair like Ighalo and unlike the others.
Then how about this one? https://syndication.bleacherreport....ic-called-me-a-nigger-ibrahim-kargbo.amp.html
Does this make it a habit? Being racist once can be a misunderstanding? But twice?
The fact that ETH wants him and that Brobbey guy, is a huge fecking red flag.
Clearly ETH shouldnt be in charge of recruitment, he wasnt in Ajax either.
