Marcus Rojo - Finally found a taker?

Let me get this straight...

An absolutely shit defender who is fifth or sixth choice here, a serious red card liability even more so with VAR this season and an infuriating penchant for 40 yard strikes that find row Z of Old Trafford but will probably clear Goodison's roof

....and we could sell him for more than he cost? What are you doing, Everton?

Surely the amount is not correct? Who pays 25M for Rojo? (watch him score a belter against us now)

Rojo did beat up the City guys after they disrespected Mourinho to be fair.

Why do Everton always take our shite? Does Schneiderlin still play for them?

No idea, and it doesn't matter in this context.

The only way the money goes to Glazers is if they get dividends (which they do, for around 20m pounds per year). This ridiculous notion that the money is going to them when we don't spend big doesn't correspond to reality. As a publicly-traded company, it is mandatory for United to post balance sheets, and it is easy for everyone to obtain them. So, if the Glazers will get more money from United, we will know that cause it will be on the sheets.
Right. So what you’re saying is that the glazers will get it

Pulling their pants down with this one. 25m for that sack of shit.

Let's just hope doing toast isn't part of Rojo's medical at Everton!

This is surreal. Let us hope this goes through, knowing our luck Rojo will injure himself during his medicals.

Right. So what you’re saying is that the glazers will get it
Nope. I am saying that if they'll get money, we will know it, cause it will be on the sheets. Same as people bitches last year that the money is going to the Glazers, but in the end, the dividend didn't increase at all.

People at times forget that running a football club actually requires a lot of money, and there are many more expenses than just transfer fees.

A dreadful defender with no discipline who is fit to play about 10 games a season.

If Everton spend £25m on him it's one of the worst transfers in the history of football.

You’re posting on a place where people will happily ignore facts on our recent spending to push their agenda driven drivel all day. Just yesterday a poster mixed up revenue with profit. Arguing with people like that will only make you dumber.

The biggest cash is in clubs value. Dividends are crumbs from the table for them.
Exactly. There has been 0 indications that the Glazers are going to increase the dividends (actually 20% or so of dividends doesn't go to them in the first place). They see United as a cash machine (sure), but the worth is on the shares, not in the dividends.

TBH he was excellent when played alongside Jones or Bailly by LvG. Bailly unfortunately is injured, but Jones is available.

Hopefully nobody from Everton is reading the Caf and will swoop in to steal a top class centre back pairing from us.

5 years he was here.

5 fecking years.

That's as long as Van Nistlerooy and longer than Cantona.

Disgraceful.
Jones has already done 8, and this season will be his 9th

No wonder how much we have fallen when we have players like Rojo, Darmian, Young, Jones for many many years. Heck, even Fellaini stayed here for almost 6 years. And this trend didn't start only after Fergie. Anderson stayed almost 8 years here.

If Woodward manages to make a near £10 million profit on Rojo he’s a borderline genius, how the actual feck are we getting £25 million for Rojo ? That’s a third of the Maguire fee recouped and with £74 million for Lukaku plus any nominal fees for fringe/reserve players we’ll have recouped over £100 million this summer.

Just hope that we use some of this money to get Mandzukic and a defensive midfielder (Longstaff, Rice, Neves) and then I’ll consider this transfer window a major success. We’ll still be desperate for a right sided attacker but I’m happy in the sense we have identified Sancho as our target and waiting rather than wasting the money on a far inferior alternative, if nothing else at least Ole has altered our scattergun transfer policy.

£25M for this dud is bloody extraordinary! Just a pity that money is going straight into the Glazers pockets rather than re-investing it in the team

I’m interested to see if anyone thinks he should stay ahead of Smalling/Jones?

We are not getting anyone in.

If rojo fecks off it leaves the no16 shirt free. Longstaff would look lovely in that shirt, just saying.

David Luis is going to Arsenal for 8m. 25m for Rojo is crazy.

Will take a long time to find a worse transfer than Fred...

The deal for us to buy Rojo was shocking also - about £15 + loan of Nani for a year, and we still picked up his wages.

Luiz is 3 years older, but yes, Rojo for 25m is crazy, even in this crazy inflated market. Would have been happy to just release him considering that he has played a total of 18 matches (some of them as sub) in the last 2 seasons combined. For comparisons, the other two sicknotes Bailly and Jones have played 38 and 49 matches during the same period of time. Rojo makes Jones look a Javier Zanetti in comparison.

I just hope he never plays vs us, just because dont wanna see anyone of our players with broken leg.

Its on:

Everton are keen to sign Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo.

Harry Maguire’s arrival at Old Trafford means United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seven central defenders in his squad.

Everton inquired about Chris Smalling yesterday but that interest was rebuffed.

Now the Merseysiders have come back for Rojo, who was given a new contract in March 2018, which runs to 2021, and are hopeful of concluding a deal.
