Marcus Rashford (out)

He pretty much is already. The manager doesn't rate him.

Wasn't he on the bench a few weeks ago but didn't play? Just put a youth player there instead.

Don't give him any glimmer of hope of a comeback and isolate from the training squad.

A change of scenery will do rashford good. Tabloids are terrible in every country but england takes it to a whole new level.

He got the media on his pocket for a good period. If he's not English and feed kids he would have been called out much much earlier. His performance is trully rubbish the past 2 years. If he's Johny foreigner he'll be hounded out by every pundits

I'm hopeful a Spurs/Arsenal will bail us out on deadline day and take Rashford on loan, but I'd doubt we would even allow him a move to a rival.

Not heard much about West Ham lately but it would be a decent move. Plenty of West Ham players have played for England and they have a good manager in Potter.

I feel sorry for Rashford. No trolling, no snide.

He employs his brother as an agent. Has his brother ever negotiated a transfer before? Wherever you think about the likes of Kia Joorabchian, they know their way around.

I imagine it's very different trying to do deals with a Man Utd that's willing to bend over to accommodate you, than trying to negotiate how and in what way a transfer of the nature Marcus wants can be realised.

Nothing about the way his exit has been handled so far makes you confident about him actually getting a move away. This is not a Jorge Mendes deal that's for sure.

The club and Amorim better have a plan with how desperate they are to get rid of him. No credible links to any forwards as well if he leaves. We will struggle to finish 10th with the forwards left at the club. 7 goals and 3 assists by the time he played his last game for us, surely he'd be into double figures already and actually helping the team. It'll improve his market value as well and we can easily sell in the summer.
The club, yes. But why would Amorim need to be involved?

It wouldn't really matter to Amorim as long as he's nowhere near the squad. Wilcox should/will be handling his outgoing.

It's only a problem if Wilcox suddenly forces Amorim to reintegrate him back into the squad.

His brother had no problems asking for £325k a week.

Yeah but, as I said, that's not really a negotiation when you are dealing with a Man Utd that's handing out money like confetti.

All of a sudden he's dealing with guys who don't necessarily want Marcus as the centre of their project. Clubs who need to be persuaded to pay a wage he thinks he's worth and a transfer fee to United for the privilege of having him on the payroll.

It's a very different task. In my opinion, if Rashford's camp was serious about a move there should have gone to professionals to sort it. Rashford's bro hasn't got the experience to deliver on this.

His contract puts him firmly in the unmovable category, yet he remains a big issue. I don't know how this is going to be dealt it by the club. Freeze him out completely? I don't think that will happen.

I expect him to be reintegrated into the squad in February but continue on with his form and nonchalant attitude.

Why do people keep saying this, it's happening right now as we speak!

Sure, but right now there's hope he leaves this window, and besides an injury would be trouble. Once it becomes clear he can't be moved, the club will be stuck with a player on a monstrous salary doing nothing for many more months. I'd be very surprised, pleasantly so, if he remains frozen out. It would set some standards. But this club has failed to do that in the past, so I won't be holding my breath. It would be a big statement.

I’m sure that are a few suitors keeping their powder dry until we get close to the end of the window - they will try and shaft Utd by offering very little in terms of wages contribution knowing we need him out of the club.

Not sure if Ineos will allow themselves to have their pants pulled down on this one though…..

Could be a case of who blinks first…..

He will be moved, depending on how much United are willing to contribute. It’s all negotiating at this point.

I’m sure we’ll eventually up our contribution % to get a deal done in the end. No point having him sit on the bench and we pay his full wage.

Hopefully his brother has fallen for one of Barcelona's "play now, pay you more later" scams.

I can't see us getting any sort of revenue otherwise. I'm not confident anyone else will stump anything meaningful for a loan or purchase deal.

Wouldn't that be classified as mobbing? Me thinks he should definitely be allowed to train, just that he's not selected for matches anymore.

how does that benefit the club?
Demonstrates to the rest of the squad that certain standards are expected of them, and failure to strive to meet those standards has consequences, even for the most high profile players. This is something the club has not taken a consistent approach to since 2013 unfortunately.

If he isn't loaned or moved in January, it might dawn on him that he isn't all that desirable to other clubs in his current form, possibly focusing him on improving his attitude and effort.

Get him back on the bench and make him work. Give him a point to prove and you’ll see the best of him. He’s that sort.

Definitely that kind of player, definitely not one to cry to the media and say he can see his future elsewhere when dropped

If I was manager, I would be freezing him out. Amorim needs players that will work their socks off in matches and training, and he simply isn't willing to do that and the fear is he would be a bad influence on others in the squad. It needs to be made clear to his brother that he will never play for Utd again, so if Rashford has any interest in playing his brother needs to sort something out.

My bet is he's done with football in a highly competitive environment unless a big club swoops in for him - which is almost impossible. He'll coast until his next big contract renewal and move to the MLS or Saudi.

When he said he was" ready for a new challenge" I guess the challenge, was finding a club that actually want him...mission impossible!

what a sh!tshow, he's going nowhere.. he won't really be playing much if at all until the summer..
Yep. United have to stick to their guns here. It’s about sending a message so next time the player runs out the exit in the window while he can knowing if we say he won’t play, he won’t play.

If Marcus has to be the sacrificial lamb to prove the club have some stones now under Ineos then I personally believe they’ll do it.
