Rashford is a bit different, whilst there is a United tax there is also an English tax. Filling the homegrown quota is quite a big deal and if you can do it with the best ones (at the time he was pretty good) it's seen as worth the extra cash.I probably know the answer to my question, but can anyone explain how everyone that we choose to put on high wages turns out shit (ie looks like they're only here for the money) while other top clubs pay that pay similar wages get the performances they need out of those top earners?
There is no doubt we do overpay, but that that's what happens when you barely make the CL every season and in a constant decline, you don't have much more to offer top players than money.
