Marcus Rashford (out)

We don’t pay him his full contract if he leaves, he’s asked to leave, so if anyone matches whatever the club values him at, he’s then going to negotiate a deal with the buying club.
Oh I see what the OP means, sell him for the minimum possible. It read like he was saying release him.

Only Barca, Juve, Dortmund & Milan all showed a lot of interest of the top clubs, not a bad list tbh. Then obviously west ham and Como. None of whom can afford him, so maybe he needs to rethink his pay demands when he eventually moves on.
Impact sub until the end of the season is a start, he can score which is something we’re really bad at.

I don’t think those clubs mentioned are genuinely interested enough to actually put their hand in their pocket though, most aren’t willing to cover even half his wages in a loan deal, either because they can’t or simply don’t think he’s worth it. I think a lot of the interest is more opportunistic than anything, clubs thinking there’s trouble behinds the scenes between the player and Utd so we’ll be grateful just to get him out the club for the time being and they’ll be able to pick him up on essentially a free loan for the rest of the season while we pay for the privilege.

An entitled brat finally bothers to put in some effort at work after failing to attract any offers from other organisations.

What a redemption story. Hollywood are putting a script together as we speak
Marcus Rashford, local lad and face of the club for about 6-7 years coming back after (deservingly) falling out of favor of fans and the new manager and been frozen out for 2 months. And winning fans&manager over again with brilliant performances and required workrate.

That would be a nice redemption story imo. Some would probably hate it, I for one would find a lot of joy in witnessing something like that in the next months.

West Ham bidding £57m for Jhon Duran, and we can’t get any takers for Rashford.

The incompetence of the last 10 years rearing its ugly head once again.
Seems a bit ridiculous. He’s been given enough hate, but Rashford’s (on form) at least is on par with Duran for me.

Those ludicrous wages the club gave him back in 2023 is the key point to why that’s happening.

With his reported £300k a week in a hypothetical scenario wheres he’s at West Ham, he would be making the same amount of money as their two biggest earners combined (Paqueta and Bowen both on £150k a week reportedly).

Motivated and committed - he’s better than Hojlund up front. He’s got pace and if he’s ready to work his socks off, our attack would be better. Way better.
I’d still rather we sold him but if he stays and tries hard we can hope, eh?

He's incapable of playing that role though. His hold up play is non-existent, he tends to drift wide and his work rate off the ball leaves a lot to be desired, even when 'motivated'. Hojlund is pants, but unfortunately he's still the most suited talisman in this 3-4-3.

Rashford at his best is a transition player that runs into space (though he seems to have lost a yard of pace). There's no role for him in this team. If he lowered his wage demands he'd do well in a counter attacking side elsewhere in the continent or a mid table team in the PL. Heck he might be half decent for someone like Arsenal.

Wait, why does this mention the severance pay with United? Does he get less if he accepts a job within a period of time?
That makes sense. Basically, if ETH wants anything close to the full amount of his contract, United have probably specified it as something similar to gardening leave.

So if ETH wants to work within the next 18 months a deal needs to be done.

Apparently it would cost Dortmund €8-10m due to Rashfords wages.

Geez, even at the lower end of €8mio that'd be half a million per week of his services for them. Certainly they can't be dumb enough to toss that much at a loan player?! But then again, it's Dortmund...

You ran out of skills pretty fast there.

Henry Winter is setting fire to a dogs kennels as we speak. Marcus will just happen to be walking by. He saves the lot while Henry grabbed a quick last minute, pure coincidental timing, interview about how Marcus is misunderstood and we have to be nice to him.

The PR campaign from both club and player for his reinstitution is in full flow. Extra training, ready to give 100%, my sweet patootie.

We know exactly how this will play out. He will come in, have a couple of good games, throw in a couple of intense pressing sprints, and then revert right to type. He's simply incapable of working his ass off anymore (whether that is due to being given free rein for too long, shite stamina levels, or sheer inability to break through the pain barrier). Whatever happened to moving Rashford on being seen as key to the cultural reboot? Wish Ruben (if he actually has a say in it) were as inflexible on this matter as he is with his tactical approach.

Breaking news on Sky Sports News that Dortmund have officially enquired for Rashford and what the breakdown would look like for a loan deal, also saying ETH could be in charge of Dortmund soon.

He seems to have run out of luck. No takers and no real position for him in the Amorim system. The only way I see back for him is if

(a) Amorim changes his system
(b) Results are so bad that Amorim gets sacked and we go to someone else who plays 4 ATB.

It might happen if he just waits it out for a year.

Just feck off with the PR please. We don't believe you.

And then you woke up.

Oh joy, more finger pointing to the head. Shame he hasn't mastered the art of Instant Teleportation, middle and index fingers to the forehead Marcus.

Just make Rashford rot in the reserves. If he doesn’t turn up to training then breach of contract and he doesn’t get paid. Make it known to the scrote that he’s not welcome back at the club.

How long until he posts a picture of him as a kid wearing the United shirt? He can feck off, if I'm honest. Done with the drama.

Can we not just do a mutual cancellation of contract and waive any transfer fee? Not sure if that's been done before really.

Might work best for both sides.

Yeah I'm sick of all the drama. I can't actually think of any right now, but I'm sure it will come to me in a minute.

It can't possibly be the case that I'm letting the constant media attention from people who are desperate for United to fail, encourage me to hound out yet another player from the club. All the others had to go for us to improve, everything will be fine once Marcus leaves.

I mean, it's not my job to support the players at this club. I'm just airing my views. Repeatedly. Any venom in my posting just shows how much of a supporter I am.

On an unrelated point, why do the players not enjoy playing for United, seem constantly nervous and low on confidence and the club appears to have had a toxic atmosphere for years?

Wish Shitty would sign him just to do another Welcome To Manchester poster.

Anybody, Liverpool even, I just don't care, just go and take your baggage and sorrowful shite elsewhere.

Shitty wants players who actually sweat for their cause
