Marcus Rashford (out)

I would get him back to the team, he is far better than any player we have in attack bar Amad.

If he's going, I want him to hurry up and go quicker so that we at least have some sort of opportunity to use the money to get another player in.

To be fair, I don't think Rashford wanted out. I feel the club is trying to get rid of under performing + overpaid players know we 99.99% won't have Europe next year and who else to top that list but Rashford? Very likely the club told him they want him out and his agent came out and portrayed as if it was Rashford who wanted out to placate Rashford's ego.
Yeah everything in that Rashford interview points to him being forced out of the club and him responding in kind. There were articles published before that and we got it confirmed after that United were trying to sell in the summer.

No idea, but it's Rashfords own fault that he decided to do the interview with Winters.

Could've easily kept things behind closed doors and made himself an alternative for the manager rather than going public .

He could also have put in the performances on the pitch, to at least keep the fans on his side and to open up his options if he is planning on moving on.

Yup.

If anything, Rashford deserves a lot more criticism for the way he's handling things despite his "love for the club".

Over a month since his interview and maybe there's something happening in the coming week, that pretty much says it all about how much he's wanted around Europe. If it's Dortmund, we'll definetely have to cover a fair chunk of his wages.

Absolute tit.

Quality control
Can he just f*ck off already. Overpaid c*nt

Well that killed any chance of Rashford returning, the man has been handed a shit squad and has to make something of it, just lost another game, then he has to come to the press and the first questions is about fecking Rashford.

RIP Denis Law, a genuine United hero. Adios Markus. Close the door behind you.

Proof how we have the worst fanbase in football. What sort of person uses the death of a legend to pile more abuse on another of our players.

Terrible question and he probably should have ignored it. I hope Rashford gets a good move soon and gets over this.

I just don't get how fans are still supporting Rashford in all of this. We are at an all time low and our biggest wage earner, and local lad who has supported us all his life is not interested in training or getting back on the pitch to fight for the club. He can just feck off and I hope we never have to mention the wankers name on here again.

This is one area I like from Amorim, he'll have to be stern on players who simply don't have a future. Thats clearly the case for Casemiro too.

I wonder if his mentality would have been different if he were on 150-200k a week, like Maguire and co, instead of the crazy wages he's supposed to be on. Would he have signed a contract with those numbers? Would the club be looking to push him out if he wasn't such a high earner? Pointless what ifs - the bridges seem burned, at least for now.

He fell out with Ralf, fell out with ETH who always backed him, and Amorim wont let him near the squad. The guy doesnt want to be coached

If he's asked not to be selected can the club then not suspend his wages?

The guy earning 300K a week (or more) who told McClaren not to "put that kind of pressure on me" when the latter suggested he'd score the winning goal in an upcoming game.

There’s no indication that he’s asked not to be selected.

Sitting on his hands waiting for a skint Barcelona to sell off another 15% of their TV rights or some other garbage to afford him. Joke

Jamie Jackson should be banned for that question in the post match. Snidey cnut.

Definitely, as he doesn't fit in the system at all. He's not a 9 and he's not a 10 in this system. He doesn't work hard enough off the ball and his output is poor.

If a players mentality is dependent on the amount he gets paid then he's not a player you want in your team

So it's a lost in translation type of thing?

I’m not sure but Amorim ended with “I am not going to put a player in I don't believe is best for the team” which indicates it’s his choice not to select him. We also know that, when we were particularly short against Newcastle, Rashford was on the bench.

Given that, I suspect Amorim is basically just repeating his usual message - it’s up to Rashford to convince him to pick him but currently he doesn’t think it’s right for the team. I doubt he’s trying to say Rashford is refusing to play.

What's this all about? Wow.
