I agree he absolutely does, he also plays for the biggest club, with the most social media engagement and normal media in the country and has a rather large contract that he’s not currently performing at the level expected to be worth it.
If this is how he feels and cannot handle the pressure then it’s sad, but for the best that he moves onto somewhere with less scrutiny.
The culture and media around United isn’t ever changing.

Big ego and by the sounds of it surrounded by terrible influences who blow smoke up his backside. It’s a shame how this is ending,
... and rather than silencing any critics by working hard in training and on the pitch it seems his main activity is to instruct his PR firm to paint him as a victim paid 350k a week.
His hideous PR machinery steam rolling at the moment. But hopefully they won't make any difference this time.
Hopefully we can sell Marcus by the second week of January and get a good wing back in with the money.
Ideally we have a settled back 5 and midfield so in the summer we can focus on attack and a midfielder (once Casemiro and Eriksen leave).
I don't really expect Marcus or want Marcus to stay, I haven't for four years but at this point there's no way back for him.
Too many excuses, too much going to the press to talk versus put it on the pitch. Liverpool doesn't do that, City players don't. We have so many players that are just not professional at United.

I'm getting the impression he isn't doing any instructing, he's just living in his own hyped-up little world while others (his brother?) pull the strings on Brand Rashford. If he genuinely believed his post last week about agencies it seems that he has very little clue about what his team are doing.

There is literally only one possible piece of PR I would accept and credit him with and that’s if Amorim said “Marcus is back in the team because he’s got his head down, worked incredibly hard, raised his fitness levels and has shown to me he is serious about his career by refraining from nights out during the season”

Indeed. The same excuses used from some posters who have been defending him repeatedly on here, and to be fair his PR is working to some extend at least.
He’s approaching this in totally the wrong way. As a professional footballer he needs to ask himself is it professional behaviour not be all “but x is allowed to do it at his club”. No Marcus that’s up to their clubs to sort out. Your behaviour is up to you to control. Grow up.

What's amusing is that the claim is not that he's not behaving unprofessionally , rather it's that other players in the league get away with similar things. Which is an argument I used to present to my parents when I was 9.

I’m glad he’s done this to be honest. You can’t sell a player that’s always on the piss. As least his team are doing their best to retain some value in him.
I’d love to know how many times over the years he’s secretly gone out and got away with it. He’s up there with Lee Sharpe and Ryan Giggs in the early 90s, constantly out and about. Except there’s no Ferguson to turn up one night and give them the bollocking of a lifetime, to the point they never do it again.
I still think this man is going to retire by 30. He’s become too enamoured with being a playboy and due to lack of quality leadership at United, he’s become way too comfortable to the point he genuinely thinks he’s the victim here. The Glazers, Woodward and their yes men saw him as a cash cow at one of our low points (because local lad from academy achieving the dream etc etc) and with no-one on the footballing side to really challenge them, he’s achieved a status at United that he really shouldn’t have reached, based on his overall footballing ability and from what we’ve seen more recently, his personality.

Sorry He surely has the dumbest PR guys ever. Time after time they come out with something they obviously think will help the situation but everyone else sees it the other way round.
