Marcus Rashford (Out) | Rashford: “For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps.”

It’s clear he’s just completely unprofessional and because he’s one of our star players and has the club by the short and curlies with his massive contract, he’s just allowed to coast.

I think those contracts only ever work out for players with certain level of self motivation and self discipline otherwise they are a hinderance to the player.

The social media snippets of both Rashford and Shaw this last few days show exactly why we need to move them on.
Both their contracts are an issue but in them they will be released and I’m so glad Amorin and the new management are on to them.
Fully old thing that both have been involved in many managers failing here.

What's been said about Shaw?

The lad is a disgrace. Like not giving a single feck when a new management team comes in just says everything you need to know about his attitude

The club have enabled this they’ve known what he’s like for years yet rewarded it by being one of the best paid players in the league.

The club is fecking dumb

Well the PIF is a majority owner of Clearlake and so when Chelsea were in a bind at the beginning of the 23/24 season they magically sold a bunch of players for huge fees to the PIF owned Saudi league.

"Sold bunch of players for huge fees"

Chelsea sold 2 players to Saudi Arabia at the beginning of 23/24, both for far less than we bought them for.

If those deals were dodgy, we were doing the Saudi league a favour, not the other way around.

It’s like the 8th management team he’s seen, it’s not a huge surprise he’s become apathetic to it

We'll also settle for taking a hit on Casemiro and Antony. £40m apiece to Al Hillal.

I think the odds of Rashy going to Saudi Arabia are very low, especially if he wants to be selectable for the England squad. But if there's no one in Europe interested he'll have to consider it, right?

The alternative is that he rots away in the reserves, losing match fitness and technique which would be much harder to to recover after his contract is up. He's got a lot of leverage though, considering he's got 3.5 years left on his contract.

Casemiro will probably gone much sooner

Sounds like a guy that's ready to give 100% to his boyhood club.

Cue the Rashford fanbase popping-up to point out that he scored two goals in the Everton game.

True or not, this sort of noise is never going away permanently whilst Rashford represents us. He's proven to be unprofessional and we need this behaviour out immeadiately.

What did it actually say?

"United had just beaten Everton 4-0, with Rashford scoring two of the goals in a vibrant display on Sunday, December 1. But after that game, Amorim heard the forward had been out in Manchester on the Friday night, November 29, less than 48 hours before Everton’s visit to Old Trafford.

The United head coach does not want his players in bars so close to games and asked Rashford about his movements. The England international assured Amorim he had been misinformed about a late night.

Three days later, however, Rashford was left out of the starting line-up for the trip to Arsenal. While rotation was at play, those questions over his social life were also a factor in Amorim’s decision.

Since then, Rashford’s only start has come at Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League, a 2-1 win for United on December 12. After that, he was left out of four successive matchday squads."

We've had this shit for nearly a decade whilst many on here excused it all as lads having fun. It's simple you can't have so many key players living the lifestyle of a normal 19 year old and thinking they're big time Charlie's. No success will come from it.

It's probably not an easy task to ensure our academy lot mature as they hit their mid 20s but it is necessary. Its good to see Amorim stamp it out as much as he can.

That's not an excuse though surely. We may as well not bother if everybody had that attitude

He's had one decent season in 3 (soon to be 4...) he should look at his own game before anything else

He's going down the path of Pogba, loves the fame and fortune more than he loves the sport!

Such a shame
TBF to Pogba, I doubt Rashford’s family is organising kidnap or extortion attemptsagainst him with semi automatic weapons.

Of course, he can't drink in SA.
He can... rich/famous people can. SA is not as Muslim as some people think... yes it's a "Muslim state" and yes the holy Mecca is there.

But SA is much more about money than religion. Can go into more about why that is, but would be off topic.

I got warned for calling Rashford the C-bomb the other day (first one in two decades, I feel like I’ve been told off at school) so I’ll reserve my thoughts on him at this point, but I really do hope this new regime (and us fans) learn their lesson in terms of putting our youngsters up on a pedestal at a young age.

I do think that be thrown into the limelight so young has probably contributed to his overall level of professionalism.

Well that would definitely explain a lot: his lacklustre performances and why his form would just randomly drop off a cliff.

I makes a lot of sense really. I had the feeling the Belfast thing wasn't a one-off. You don't just feck off to Belfast on the piss mid-season, unless you've been going out or on the piss regularly at home as well.

But surely something like this should have been dealt with at the club by now or he should have been sold on if there was no sorting it out. He's practically unsellable now. I suppose the only potential positive is that Amorim bombing him out of the squad, and the dawning realisation that he's not going to another top club, forces him to smarten up and get his head right.

So the tweet basically only points out rumours. The first occasion before the Everton game wasn't true according to Rashford and the 2nd occasion before the last training session against City was also denied by people close to the player.

Why is everyone acting like the rumours are true without any real evidence?

Through his actions and statements, he has demonstrated that he no longer wants to be a part of this team," the Heat said in a statement released Friday night. " Jimmy Butler and his agent have indicated that they wish to be traded, therefore, we will listen to offers."

The suspension will cost Butler $532,737 for each game he misses, or a total of $3.7 million, according to ESPN's Bobby Marks. He has the right to file a grievance within the next 30 days, and if he chooses to do so, the fine money will be held in escrow until a resolution is reached, a process that could take up to a year.

Butler is in the final guaranteed year of his contract; he has a player option worth more than $52 million for next season.

Can we attempt to go on a similar path?

Mbappe was under heavy scrutiny but now has turned it around. I didn’t see him sulking, running to the media and constantly playing victim to abuse.

He doesn’t have the mentality to succeed at a big club.
