Ser Marcus is the best. Nice and helpful to the ones standing on his side, ruthless and cold against the others. Brilliant.

One thing I enjoy the most from Marcus lately, watching his efforts off the pitch as well, he is developing into a leader and we will benefit from his personality as much as from his enormous footballing potential.

He came on in beast mode. Completely unplayable, RBL didn't know what hit them, shell shocked.

On a hattrick, let's Martial take the pen to boost his confidence in the last minutes of the game, still gets a hattrick.

Beautiful.

Actually I don't think he "let" anything. He's not the designated penno taker and he's not the one that won it. Is there a rule that if you are on the hattrick you are entitled to take it?

What a goal that would have been.

To spoil the video and excitement, I just hate Shaw's one footedness. How many times he does that in a game like he does at start of the video?

Agreed. Him and Bruno add so much personality and leadership to our front line.

most strikers on a hat trick will take a pen, even if not the designated penalty taker, especially if 3-0 up.

I was worried his back injury might have done long term damage and he seemed unwilling to run full pelt for a while but he's clearly just eased himself back which is sensible.

On his day he's absolutely unstoppable.

Through his achievements both on and off the pitch he's becoming the sort of player potential signings will be excited to come and play with.

Hoping this is the season where he establishes himself as one of the best players in the league and one of the best forwards in the world. At 22 he has all the tools to do it, and Cavani is a great person to have around to show him how and where to move to score the scrappy goals he needs to round out his game.

Electric.

The pen thing is funny. He had no intentions of giving that to Martial watching that vid. Doesn’t even look at him when Ole over rules him.

Got to say as good as that goal would have been if he scored he had to pass that to Martial. However man was on fire.

Funny moment that

Martial set his 3rd up on a platter so they're even

Translation for non-natives?

Terrible people on twitter accused him of pretending to be virtuous with his whole campaign to promote his brand and for the recognition. Rashford has pretty much come back saying "feck off what are you talking about".

Lineker's definition is a bit better.

Question for people here.

Now he's obviously not there yet, mainly due to consistency and injury but could Rashford become the best player in the world?

I've seen him be completely unplayable at times in a way that nobody else in the world really is, and his level of skill, pace and power isn't really matched by anyone at our club at least. He has the odd game where he's not quite at his top level and sometimes his decisions let him down - but those two things (consistency and decision making) are the ones that improve the most with time and experience so it's not that worrying.

But there are people talking about other 'better' players like Mbappe and Kane and my feeling is that Rashford when he is REALLY at it is better than anyone. With Ronaldo and Messi in decline there's a spot open at the top.

Remember he's 22 years old which still boggles my mind.
Yes. He has as good a chance if not better chance than any player.

I've been watching football long enough to know that mentality and hard work are what separates the boys from the men.

Some still don't appreciate the incredible footballer he's turning into. If you thought he was overrated 2 years ago then fine but today he's so much more complete, better at everything.
Yes he can make mistakes but no one is perfect, some of our fans have lost sense of reality. Rashford is incredible

Real credit to Ole. Since he has come in Rashford has had the form of some of the best forwards in the world. I think if he keeps it up this continuously this season he should be considered world class.

Bear in mind I wrote that post on like Sunday or something, look at some of the replies

Not a chance at all Rashford has glimpses of greatness but he is lacking in the technical and in the passing for me to ever become that and he is also lacking in the shooting department.

There's only so far you can go with pace and decent shooting technique.

For instance. Oh dear.

The "newbie" tag should be changed to "warning, no need to read the comment" tag.
Although I have no room to talk.

His name is no longer Rashford, you can call him Rash- super Finish.

Yes I stole this from the Manchester United Facebook Page thread

What's yours?
In a hypothetical world 11, the inclusion of "said" player in the 1st X1 or 5 man bench, is not highly contentious within the wider footballing community/fandom.
example, we may not agree on the exact starting eleven, however some may have Kane as their 9 others may have Lewandoski however either/or will do and none of the Lewa/Kane stans will feel like they have been hung dry by the selectors choosing the other striker.
Another example, some may prefer a prime Phillip Lahm as Rb, others may champion Dani Alvez, yet neither are highly contentious. You would be happy with either.

I was checking on and found that he has scored 74 goals for us and he's only 22!

Is anyone here ready to bet he'll break Rooney's record in the future ? By age 30 or something.

I was thinking about this the other day. If he scored 20 per season he'd do it by 31. I think. Very doable if he could get 25-30 for a few. Not sure I'd bank on it, but definitely possible.

Rashford? More like Rashferrari. You can reply to Manchester United Facebook with it and claim the credit now.

Yeah, a lot of people just look at what a player has shown in the last game and assume that's all he will ever be. They don't factor in that players who work hard actually improve and iron out their weaknesses.

Yet at the same time, they look at a flashy flair player and just assume that he's going to get better and mature with age.

My bet would be on the player with mentality over the player with flair every day of the week.

With Rashford you can feel it, he's still hungry and wants to be something more. Keeps his head down, works hard with minimal fuss. Played under 3 managers, with periods of unbelievable form. Makes you forget how young he is.

As long as he stays away from injury I'd be quite disappointed and surprised if he doesn't overtake Rooney's record. The big question might be whether Greenwood beats him there.
