Unfortunately Rashford turned up again yesterday. Would be great if we could get more Rashford and less of his lame twin again. I hope we bring in Sancho in the summer to put some pressure on Rashford, either improve or be benched.

Why has he looked injured for 18 months. I find that odd.

Well he returned quickly from a fractured vertebrae. Didn't someone, possibly van persie, have that injury and say it took him ages to recover.

Rashford, predominantly as a left winger, has scored 40 goals in the last two seasons. Not bad for someone who has either been returning from or playing with an injury for most of that time.

Reading there that he received a shit load of racial abuse online after the match. When are these horrible neanderthals going to be held accountable for their actions. Imagine being such a worthless, scummy, piece of shit.

The racial abuse is really sad and makes me angry. I mean what an idiot and what a poor soul do you have to be for doing things like that?

Rashford was poor yes, but no excuses for shit like that.

I was happy that he once again showed his mental toughness, to step up after a bad performance and slot your penalty in like this was good stuff. I hope he can have a few days off before diving into the Euro adventure.

what ? I take it you are joking ? I think he has been Fairly bad for a while now but leave the club ? He is probably carrying an injury ,We need higher Quality player so he can be rested and we can rotate players much more frequently, He also could be suffering from burnout with such expectations on him . its a big dip in form but I think that is all it is. With competition for places and rest he can get back to being very good. At the moment he can play like he did and still be left on the pitch because of the lack of real options .
When Rashy is shit he’s injured . When he scores he’s not

Roy Keane got involved in a charity whilst playing with us , he said if his name is mentioned he’d withdraw from the charity but we have this overrated player who Ole should have benched a long time ago putting up on social media about how he’s trying to feed children . There’s a lot of players who donates thousands yet this clown is too busy trying to be prime minister and trying to be CR7 watching YouTube instead of improving his game . I’d gladly give him to Spurs for Kane

Jesus Christ you truly are insufferable... So him promoting a charity to help feed vulnerable children is being as another stick to beat him with now? Seriously doubt he's happy with how the season played out for him/us regardless of putting up respectable numbers.

Tbh I wish more people were like him and Cared for people less fortunate than them but that is for another day. He is bang out of form but he is a United player and he cares about the club And for that reason I Will support him at his lowest points because for me that is what a supporter is. Not just cheering him on when he is scoring worldies. all players go through highs and lows in form , he needs to regroup and get it back together. Calling him a clown for helping under privileged kids is a bit much I think. But sure we will agree to disagree.

I think his point is that Rashford has brought a lot of attention to himself outside of football. For someone who’s primary job first and foremost is to play football, maybe bringing all of that extra attention isn’t helpful? Especially since he’s a young guy still.

I don't know if he was injured or not, I can only judge what I see and if he was indeed injured then it still doesn't excuse the selfishness he consistently displays.
He has talent and is a good player but he needs to realize that he's not some sort of savior or a player who's reached such a level that he can be afforded a certain freedom to do whatever he wishes

He idolizes CR7, but it’s like he emulates all of his mannerisms without having the accomplishments first. Of course Ronaldo can walk back on defense and strut around the pitch when he bangs in hat tricks for fun. Rashford acts the same while failing to deliver and it’s tough to see

Attention to himself or to a good cause? Doubt his philanthropy has been effecting his training time or I'm sure we'd have no doubt heard about it. He's been going through a rough patch for a while now, btw he's not the only one Bruno has gone of the boil too and Mason went near a entire season where he was way off the mark but to be called a clown for trying to help out is just stupid.

The guy is carrying an injury which requires surgery and I hope he sees little action in the Euros because it will just carry over into the start of next season.

I don't know if it's definitely because of his various injuries or because something else but the kid isn't seems to be persistent in his abilities in every game.

It’s blatantly obvious to anyone with eyes that he’s been impaired by injury for months. Earlier in the season, he was going past people for fun with pace, balance and dribbling, but that’s just stopped completely of late and he looks unable to play his natural game.

Its why we need to sign Sancho, if we had better options off the flank outside of Greenwood, Rashford could have been rested much earlier.

Why has he looked injured for 18 months. I find that odd.
Because he got a stress fracture in his spine from overplaying. And then was overplayed when he came back, then got a shoulder injury that has been bothering him for ages, and also rolled his ankle pretty badly against City (or was it before that game?) and probably damaged some ligaments in there, but was still fine enough to play through and be really productive.

The guy is a treasure for this club and the abuse is fecking sickening tbh. Thankfully he'll stick around for the long term, I just hope he takes a rest one of these days (ideally would sit out the Euro's, but he'll never do that), but he definitely needs some time to get fit. Maybe if we can sign Sancho we can give him the start of the season off so he can get whatever operation he needs after the euro's and he can get properly fit over the first half of the season and come back strong for the 2nd half. Use Martial/Pogba/Sancho/Greenwood/Amad/Cavani and possibly James for the front 3, let Rashford recover. He needs it desperately.

Best thing that could happen to him is missing the euros, let him get him shoulder fixed and the rest of him to heal up a bit and it’s not like England are short in that department either.

Yes football is his job, but that doesn’t mean he shouldn’t use his high profile to do some good and put pressure on boris to do the right thing, do people really think an anonymous high profile footballer saying what he said last year would have the same impact, after all it was the British government coming after footballers to do more that probably incited him to go public with his charitable behaviour.

Had the ball not touched McTominay, Rashford would have had an assist.

And people like @acnumber9 from statsville would have come here to tell us that he has x assists this season and played well in the final.

People have been obsessing over stats and not watching his selfish football.

You want a million people telling you "constructive criticism" after every game?

Many of our players get trashed all the time. Last season it was Pereira, Lingard, James, Pogba etc. This season Martial, Lindelof, De Gea have all come under heavy criticism.

If you play at Man Utd, you will play under heavy scrutiny and pressure. Its part of the job. If you have a bad game, people will criticise you. If you have 2 bad games in a row, more will come your way. Many bad games, and ohh boy. Nobody's gonna stop it just because the player is playing bad every game, infact its gonna worsen. That's why players get dropped. If you cant handle it(many cant), you're not Man Utd material.

Anyway, this is not a defence of the horrible racism. That shit needs hard hard punishment.

Because he got a stress fracture in his spine from overplaying.

Playing when you're injured and then playing badly is not brave or commendable. Nor is it smart. Its counter-productive. He doesnt get excused for playing badly because he's playing injured. If you're a liability, get yourself treatment first ffs.

You’ll be the same guy that said the following in Martial’s 17/18 performance thread.

He didn't play well but got a fecking beautiful and crucial goal. Messi and Ronaldo don't play well 90 minutes every fecking game. Get over it.
It’s late. Get yourself tucked under your Martial duvet set.

At least I acknowledge when players don't play well - something you've never been able to do with your head so far up Rashford's arse.

Your reading ability is worse than your hero’s form. From the last few months.

Either should’ve been brought off ahead of Greenwood. Rashford has at least shown form for being a match winner while being shite so kind of understandable. Martial should’ve been hauled off and put to rest. Rashford wasn’t just bad, he was invisible.
Until either of them start playing well, Solskjaer should probably alternate between Martial and Rashford.
People like to exaggerate how bad his performances have been, but that was genuinely awful. The second half display is possibly the worst performance from a football player I’ve ever seen. And I include my five a side in that. You’d drop him were it not for the fact we have nobody else to play.
Play him on the left or don’t play him.
Have you ever said Martial had a bad game?

Hero? How old are you?

Martial has had an awful, shite season - let alone one bad game.

But he has technical ability that I rate very highly - and that involves making the right decision and not being selfish AF.
What you and others from statsland don't understand is that football is a team game.

Rashford makes the wrong decision/doesn't pass 9/10 because he wants to do things alone.
And people instead of pointing that out, encourage it more by referring to his "numbers" instead of the actual performance.

You spend about 80% of your time on this forum either bumming up Martial or wittering on and on about how bad Rashford is. If anyone doesn’t rate Martial they’re haters or racist. If he doesn’t play well it’s somebody else’s fault. You’re a parody of the Martial cult.

It’s your opinion Martial makes the right decisions. Nothing in his game suggests he does. If you want to dismiss factual evidence of chances being created that’s up to you. What you say has no basis in reality. Rashford does make bad decisions plenty of times. So does Bruno Fernandes. Unlike your hero, those players don’t hide. They keep trying to make things happen. That’s why they score more goals and create more than anybody else on our team.

I can say when Rashford plays poorly and not blame other players for it. You can’t. You’re a picture book fanboy.

if he has been injured for so long, rather than risk shortening his career the club and management should have managed his situation better. I felt initially last year that he was indeed playing through an injury, especially after the lockdown resumption, but felt by the end of this one that it was too long for the player himself to keep playing when he was less than 100%. It would just be plain irresponsible on everyone's part if it hampers him going forward.

He is carrying injury but He thinks he is the Harry Kane or the KdB so he must play whenever possible, to help the team.
Ole thinks the same.

80% of the time? Is that from your shitty stats book as well?
Again, factual evidence that negates the minutes played, the form of the team at that time etc. etc. People like you pick and choose stats and don't actually watch games - instead only relying on numbers.
When we had a good run of form, your lot instantly came up with "We're so much better without Martial". The rest of your post is pure BS as always because it is your lot that idolize individualistic players like Rashford.

I only support players like Martial because they are technically strong and are team players. I defended Martial because he was made the scapegoat this season every game and was racially abused. I defended him because he was the players player of the year just last season.

When Martial will leave, he'll be a c*** in my book. People like you who obsess over individual moments and players are the real fanboys.

More like he's a young, determined professional footballer who wants to play every game for the club he loves even if he's injured. It's up to the coaching staff to hold him back and force him to miss games and recover. Unfortunately as we saw last year, they don't let him do that and last year he got a stress fracture in his spine.

It's up to the club and medical staff to tell him to sit out. As a professional, especially a young one, he's never going to sit out games because of knocks, especially if dealing with it will cause him to miss a significant amount of time, when he can right through it and play out the season.

Ronaldo was a different level to Rashford on the ball, hence being far more dangerous in the build up phase. Ronaldo was genuinely exciting to watch and had far superior touch and technique, especially in close quarters in comparison. Rashford doesn't have Ronaldo, Giggs or Nani's ability to dribble at pace whilst keeping the ball under his spell in confined spaces.

If he's gonna end up playing badly and then saying "actually I was playing through injury" then he should sit it out and recover and come back strong. What he did was selfish and harmed the team. Its on the medical staff and Ole too imo. Just a very badly managed situation, and the team suffered for it.

He’s never said that. He’s never made an excuse. It was not managed well because the coach didn’t trust the replacements which is ridiculous. You have a squad ...use it.

He’s never said that. He’s never made an excuse.

Uhhh he literally said "I've struggled this season. Its not about commitment/ability. I've had injuries I've had to overcome".

Dunno but that sounds like an excuse to me. Even though its true, he's using his injuries to excuse his performance. I totally blame the manager/medical team too, but Rashford is complicit in this. If he had said "Nah I cannot play, I'm hurting the team through my bad performances" then he wouldnt play. Its because of Rashford/Ole's mentality of "playing through an injury for the team is brave" is why the team and the player struggles. Its stupid and counter-intuitive.
