Marcus Rashford - Linked to PSG

Only tried to answer your concern "I can’t see how anyone can be a brand when they’re so unbelievably sh*t at what they do".

It's not football. It's mad commercialism sport wash. Can happen to anything popular, with businessmen gathering trying to get a cut.
I know what you meant my friend, I agree! I just don’t like it.

Glazers won’t invest it all into the team anyway, we might be able to use half of whatever funds we’d get for him. No chance he goes for that sort or figure though.

That's exactly what we have been doing in the past decade, why would it change?

Sell him quick for 20m plus you get bonuses of Phil Jones+Eric Bailly. What sort of players shooting when there's 2 or 3 players right in front of him?

Meh, given some of the shite that has been sold recently, he will be worth £60m.

Cucurella went for £60m ffs. PSG are rich. We don't have to sell. If they want him, that's the price.

I know he's been crap but anyone thinking he's £20m player is just angry.

PSG refused to pay half of that for Scamacca, it's highly unlikely that they would do it for Rashford.

Looks like a player crying out for a fresh start. What a shame his regression in the last couple of years. No use to us now given attitude and plain form.

Sell

Another of the toxic crew, sulking still because his mates have been released.

Makes the noises about how hard he's going to work, then strolls around not giving a crap.

The guys an imposter and a liar sell.

Just reflecting on the missed sales of Pogba and Lingard I would hate to see Marcus leave on a free as well. At this rate, that's where it's heading.

If we can get £50m for him we should be very, very happy given how poor he's been these past 2 years.

But we're not selling him. He's an academy product, and at Man Utd those can stink up the place for many years on high wages without consequences.

Sell the absolute fraud of a player. We need to completely reset the squad so he needs to go.

I'd be totally at ease seeing him sign elsewhere. I don't think he ever reaches the 'heights' he did for us again. He's like a golfer when they get yips.

Strolling round the pitch with his shoulders slumped, face grim as hell, then when he has the ball looks clueless, if PSG want him snap their fecking hands off, yes we're light up front but having Rashford here is just going to hold eventual rebuild up and potentially poison it further.
Thought I was in the Ronaldo thread for a second, the way that's going.

Should let both of them leave early in the window and brought in two or three new signings untainted by the last several years

Sell him pronto, get in Antony or Gakpo!

You’d think with Lingard going, he might just knuckle down but I don’t think he’s going to change whilst he’s here. He needs to go.

If he goes to PSG, I give it two seasons before he boomerangs back to England and is playing for a mid table PL team.

Can see him failing at PSG and within 18 months he’s loaned to Everton or Villa.

Not sure what happened to him but he’s been terrible for too long.

I can visualise it now. The media will deem it as a massive coup for that team to get ‘league winner Rashford‘.

He scores on his debut (his debut undoubtedly against us because written in the stars and all that trite) then the honeymoon period goes by fast, and reality sets in for that club.

23 pages?!

Is this an actual link, or are people just giddy over the thought of potentially getting a sizeable fee for him?

His contract is up next summer but we have the option for an extra year. He either takes a massive paycut, at least 50% and signs a new 3 year deal, or we don't exercise the option and we sell him to the highest bidder.

I’d be gutted if we sold him as I think he can be a good squad option but I’m starting to be increasingly of the opinion that he’s not going to be at the required level ever to make us title challengers.

I think ETH could coach him to be a good inside forward but not a great one.

Maybe it’s time to let him move on. I’m sure he’d do well in Ligue 1 and at PSG surrounded by quality players he’d thrive especially as a possible Mbappe replacement a year early.

I just think we’ve ruined him mentally and I don’t see him overcoming that here.

A real shame but I don’t think I’ll be looking back at this post end of season eating my words and I’m absolutely gutted about it.

Someone explain this obsession with keeping players once they're over 20 for like 4,5 years, hoping they develop into some world class player. That's well past enough time to know where they rank, what their levels are and how consistent they are. This emotional attachment is completely counterproductive.

What happened to the guy, such a sad story. Right now we can't sell him but it seems more and more he doesn't have a future at United.
