He was very good again tonight. I think it’s fair to say he’s a good player when he’s motivated. Im glad to see him playing with some passion and guile again, especially with Sancho falling out of the squad. Cracking goal!

I think Sky through up a stat that was his 9th goal in 20 appearances so he's back to pretty much a goal every other game and on for another 20+ goal season. People were idiots to write him off for 1 poor season under the worst manager (Ragnick) we've had in my lifetime

That little run that began with the nutmeg was very easy on the eye. Good performance from him.

I laughed at him wanting to do Mbappe’s celebration and stopping midway through it

Please enlighten me, as I was of the opinion that he got caught off sides once and lost a couple of duels to their fullback failing to get the better of him. What did I miss then?

*And this isn't some shade on Rashford, he was brilliant the second half

Yet won more duels than any United player by the end of the game, according to Sky Sports stats. It was a very good performance. Simple as that. Playing in his less preferred position too.

People here told me he cant play from the right but that is a good goal from the right. Didnt he score a good goal from the right during the World Cup too? Maybe the claim that he is totally useless on the right is false after all...

Garnacho/Sancho - Martial - Rashford is an option (when Antony isnt playing) after all. Certainly prefer Rashford starting on the right than seeing Elanga start at all.

Brilliant goal and as above nice to see him score it from the right as well. Glad to see he's getting his confidence back after a couple of poor years and long may it continue because we need him to keep scoring.

I don’t think Sancho is sniffing the starting line up anytime soon.
I do prefer Rashford playing on the left though. That’s his best position. Wonder why ten hag is playing him on the right to accommodate Garnacho.

I still can’t believe he played fecking pogba and Bruno up top against City. Definitely worse than Moyes for me, and probably the worst manager in our history.

He's so much quicker than a year ago, looks proper fit. Happy to see him back, I was worried that he won't find form again as he's been poor for so long

He's definitely not as fluid on the right, and doesn't have the ability to cut inside and shoot on his left foot which would help give him more threat.

What he can do though is put in a brilliant cross, and when there is space to run into he's able to carry the ball well in staight lines. His finish from right to left is fantastic too, always hammers the ball low and hard.

He times his runs better on the left side too, but I guess that's because he can open his body more naturally and see the play.

Rashford is a joy to watch he looks back to the clinical blistering rashford who made the breakthrough under LVG and first season with Ole where he had people speculating and comparing him to the likes of Mpabbe and Ronaldo. The power he generates on the ball for his knuckle shot finishes is underrated.

I think Ten Hag rates Garnacho over Pellistri and he doesn't trust Garnacho on the right at all.

no he didnt

I'm with you. McTominay did some appalling stuff on the ball (good off it) and Dubravka looked like he hadn't played a game in a long time and Garnacho looked like the teenager he is and everyone else looked damn good to me in the first half as Burnley matched us well for about 5-10 minutes then everything went about as well as Ten Hag scripted it.

I prefer him on the right, helps the team out as well.
Still needs to up his work rate though.

I really liked the little lay off to Mctominay on the edge of the box. Far too many times we’ve seen him run down blind alleys or shoot from silly angles. He creates so much space for others that it’s important Ten Hag drills decision making into him.

Prior to the goal I thought he was pretty bad but that goal was awesome to see, reminded me of Ronaldo running at players and then with the fantastic finish.

Hope he can keep this up, still hesitant about him being given a stupid contract, if it they can keep the wages pretty standard I would be happy to see him continue at the club.

I get Southgate not starting Rashford - with the idea that you then bring him on for the last half hour to run at defenders - but if you're only bringing him on for the last 5/10 minutes, when you know he's bang in form, and bring on Sterling who isn't and hasn't been training with the side, then that isn't anything other then a bizarre decision.

Love him as he’s one of ours. He should really invent a signature celebration of his own. He looked liked he was going to do the Mbappe celebration but thought the better of it

Mmm I wonder what Rashford would have done against France considering the form he was/is in!
We'll never know thanks to Southgate's favoritism

137 minutes for the tournament. Only 5 players in the squad were given fewer.

I've been massively critical of him in the last couple of years but he is really winning me around now.

He's been excellent for club and country recently. Amazing what a decent manager and some confidence can do.
