Crazy to bring Sterling on before him. But he had a very good tournament despite not playing much and his free kick despite not going in was still a good attempt so he'll be fresh and should be mentally ok coming back without any dwelling regrets?

Considering how he’s been a massive pain in the ass for PsG, I get the feeling Mbappe pissed himself when he saw him on the bench, and was delighted he only got on at 85 minutes

He should have come on after 60 mins, the game was open for him. But no let’s bring on Mount instead.

Should never have been on the bench

Remember Fergie saying once something along the lines of “a top manager would never leave a forward in form on the bench” - Rashford is in brilliant form and beat Wales single-handedly. Showed what I already knew about Southgate.

Can’t wait to see him back at United with a top class manager who values him

Simply Southgate being a wimp and not using Rashford is criminal. Despite all his achievements with England , Southgate will never win anything with England.

He has wasted another opportunity here. But everyone will tell you what a great manager he has been since he has gotten England past group stages.

I think the decision to start him on the bench was justifiable, but bringing on Mount and Sterling before him when we needed a goal was gutless. Good tournament for him, and most importantly he stayed injury free.

Mental to keep Foden on so long.

Seen online Rashford finished the tournament with 46 minutes per goal. Outrageous.

Good tournament from Rashford and his form in recent times has been refreshingly positive.
Unlucky with that free-kick. He gets a ridiculous amount of power in his shots sometimes.

Definitely should have been on much sooner. And Grealish is probably even more crazy... what's the point in bringing him on for the last 2 minutes? Brainless.

Did he?

I’d say beyond brainless defending and VAR did that. Mount wasn’t even anywhere near the ball
Most stupid bit of defending I’ve seen in a long time, and as a United fan, that’s saying something.
Well yes, he made the run and the fool clattered him down. I’m no great fan of Mount but he dud win that penalty with his off the ball run

137 minutes in total that World Cup. Southgate fecked up not giving him more time in that France game.

Should've come on earlier.

At least he will be back to us healthy.

Agreed.
I think Southgate does leave substitutions far too late, at least 30 minutes required.
Why Grealish came on for the last few seconds was mind boggling.
Hopefully Rashford comes back and proves he should be first choice for England.

Man Utd 2:0 Burnley
This cannot be the same player we saw last season. He must have a twin.

He looked great today. A little rusty at times, but grew into the game and then scored that cracker. Hopefully he get the right coaching this year to make him more consistent.

Class today. Looks back to the good Marcus. He seems to be enjoying his football again and the relationship with Bruno is encouraging.

He had a good game tonight. Liked that from one of our corners, he dropped back into the right back position to receive the ball.

Lovely goal to boot.
