He's definitely not a natural centre forward but he's getting involved in the goals again to be fair to him. Should be fighting for a spot on the left with Sancho when Martisl is back.
I know about his record but you must also know in order for us to get back to the levels we strive for he needs to do much much much more than he is currently doing and that we all expected him to have progressed a lot more than he has. Top players don’t put out the shit he put out for over a year. As an academy player he was given a lot more leeway too. I really really hope he doesn’t think “he’s back” and that he actually realises he can do much much more.
So what happens when he doesn't get the goals? Unless the cf is Ronaldo or messi in their prime, they have to be a competent player outside of just scoring or assisting goals. Because there are going to be a lot of games where he won't assist or score.Come on man, what a shocking post. Rashford does a huge amount of running off the ball that often gets missed.
2 goals and an assist as CF, that is the be all and end all. Would you rather Jesus? Plenty of effort and workrate, but toothless up front as usual in big games. I know which I prefer.
ETH continue to praise his workrate and pressing though. So what happens when he doesn't get the goals? When our forward options are Martial, Rashford and Ronaldo, I'm pretty sure the system will be designed to accommodate them. I've watched Haaland and Nunez this season and they also aren't expected to run around like headless chickens.. I'd say that their defensive efforts are even less than what we saw from Ronaldo in this game.ETH continue to praise his workrate and pressing though.
Could it be that Rashford started to press at the right moments despite still jogging around sometimes?
May be dude, I didn't claim to know manager's tactics inside out. Just what I am seeing, there were more than a few instances where Sancho is closing his man down, antony blocked off the pass to his guy and rashford standing around watching bruno do the pressing for him, and may be i am being harsh but given how shit rashford has been for past 2 years I atleast don't feel he has earned the right to excuse his 88 mins of poor performance for 2 mins of brilliance.ETH continue to praise his workrate and pressing though.

If you’re actually arguing against Marcus rashford massively under performing for a significant period than I’d seek help.
Three matches of productivity and you’re throwing out this kind of arrogance. Baffling.
Does Rashford now have 3g+3a this season already?
Has anyone noticed, he does not compete for headers?
He needs to go back wide.
find this ‘he’s back’ nonsense quite ridiculous.
well done. He scored two and had an assist. An impact on the game.
hopefully, similar to what we’ve seen from Dalot and McT, ETH is having a positive impact on Rashford as well
He now needs to have a sustained period of games where he makes an impact.
This and Liverpool are exactly the games he should start. When the opposition will basically have a lot of the ball and their defenders on the half way line. It plays perfectly to his strengths.
It's the games against teams that like to sit deeper and make it more compact that really expose him.
