Every time Rashford scores the voice of Capt Mannering goes of in my head with reference to Southgate, Gareth " you stupid, stupid boy"

I don’t think this is a hot streak. I think this is Rashford now. I can see him getting 25-30 goals each season while he’s in his prime. World class.

A couple of minutes for Rashford and Grealish in a game we were better in but couldn't score and in a tournament that was there for the taking. A complete clown that will cost England this golden attacking generation (Kane already probably only has the Euros left in him).

I'd love to see it, but honestly there's a certain guy across the street that's scored 26 to Rashford's 14.

Rashford has more assists, more successful dribbles, more successful take ons, and doesn't have a team of stacked creators behind him.

Look at how many assists KDB has for Haaland. Haaland has played like a poacher all season, with little to offer in the build up. As an all round footballer, Rashford has been better.

Incredible season he is having especially post WC, scoring goals and playing generally well too and we are extremely desperate for him to keep this up or even do better, he is carrying our attack.

My worry is that others like Sancho, Antony or Martial don't step up which means all the goals-scoring burden will fall to Rashford, Sancho did well today and Garnacho also contributes here and there but we have to get our other attackers contributing so we are not as dependent on Rashford as we are now.

Pisses me off so much. We win it all with Rashford playing.

Was skeptical about him but he has proven me wrong. On current form he is absolutely one of the best in the world and long may this form continue.

I'm sure he equalled Rooney and RVNs record for scoring at OT at home in the league consecutively. Does that mean he's broken the record now? Commentary today didn't mention it I don't think.

Is Rashford on Fred and Bruno’s diet?? His level of energy now is unbelievable.

Apparently not broken the record yet. First United player to score in seven consecutive Premier League home games since Wayne Rooney in 2010.

Surely he deserves to win Premier League player of the season, if he continues like this?
Hard to give that considering Haaland is smashing the goal scoring records at City.. but yeah.. Rashford is probably in better form.. City just create more chances.

Rashford, Osimhen and Haaland are probably the 3 in form strikers in world football at the moment.

Might be in with a shout of the PFA Writers player of the year.

He’s just red hot right now. His finishing is on point. How much of it is down to working closely with Benni McCarthy I wonder?

I get the urge to have a pop at Southgate but he didn't drop this Rashford. He dropped the Rashford that upto the world cup had only scored four.

Amazing turnaround from him.

Last time we had a player in this type of scoring form (i.e. scoring pretty much every game)?

In 12/13.

Rashford is in fantastic form right now and I hope it continues. It was a little unfortunate due to the game with Barcelona on Thursday that he didn't get the chance to get a hat trick but it was the right sub from ETH.

Probably in the top 3 strikers in the world right now alongside Haaland and Mbappe.

Imagine Van Persie added to this United side.... we'd be winning the title with him up top to add to Rashford wide and Bruno 10. Genuinely we are 1 top striker from genuinely being a title challenging side.

So happy for him. I was certainly one of those who wanted us to sell him, never thought he would turn it around. Glad to be found out as an idiot! :wenger:

If only he’d scored that one he hit straight at the keeper, would have been an incredible hat trick.

No question for me that he’s 100% in the running for the POTY award, Haaland drops further away from it each week, his play will win him the golden boot he fully deserves, but he’ll need to do a shitload more to beat Ødegaard, Saka or Rashford to the POTT.

He’s playing out of his skin and long may it continue. However, you don’t be world class over a couple of months. On current form he’s playing like a world class player though. Needs to continue this rich vain of form ( hopefully ) for years to get world class status.
Im excited every time he touches the ball at the moment. Since he concentrated more on what was going on the pitch than off it’s incredible

ETH also has to take plenty of credit as he’s truly getting the best out of him. Amazing what’s now becoming apparent we have a manager that could take us back to the top of the tree where we belong.

Asked it a couple of match threads ago but is this the highest top level at Utd since Ronnie in 08/09?

RVP maybe the only possible other answer?
Rooney 09/10 and De Gea in 17/18 would probably be better than him season-wise at this point — Rashford had a relatively slow start to this season compared to them. But if you only count his post-World Cup form then I'm guessing you can put him up there with the absolute best already.

I know I'm being extremely nitpicky, but does anyone else think that the even better option for the first goal is to square the ball to Garnacho for the tap-in?

If he'll get to something like 5-6 goals behind Haaland at the end of the season? But at this point no, not yet — and he's not ahead of Ødegaard or Saka either.

 how can any option be better than smashing it in the bottom corner?!

He might have fecked the pass up or Garnacho might have messed the shot up. Garnacho might have gone offside etc.

Obviously it is the better option generally but when you're confident and in form, can't really blame a player for taking it on. Rashfords shooting is elite, his passing isn't quite as good so there's always the chance you feck up that chance. Sancho in that position and he passes and I'd trust the pass over the shot. Rashford, definitely the shot.

Can we sell everyone who doubted him?

Dont think this seasons fantastic form negates people doubting him. He had nefore this season been awful for quite a while, really awful. Personally I never massively rated him when he broke through, bar a spell of 3months under Ole in his early management period here, this is the first season I believe he has fully deserved plaudits for his performances.

I would have sold him in the summer, obviously very much wrongly now, but despite obviously having talent since he broke through I never saw him ever being at the level of performance he has this season so full cedit to him and whoever has got these performances out of him this season
