Scored from a tight angle helped by their keeper. Super play for the short corner for our 2nd goal. Did well to create shooting chance for himself in the first half again from an angle, this time good save from Barca keeper. Seemed tired towards the end, one very poor shot wide, one relatively tame shot easily saved and another situation that he delayed so long that Barcelona were able to regroup.
Bit unfortunate not to win a free-kick near the edge, given the referee was giving soft fouls against United players in our defensive third. 5 shots and 3 key passes.

Thought that was actually his best all round performance this season. Wasnt actually one of those games where he ‘just scored’. He was very polished today and as a centre forward which is very pleasing as we’ve been unsure how he’d play there.
Showed his shout for being the striker for the rest of the season today. Class performance. His change in using his body against defenders, much improved aerially, his movement etc ... Just such a class player. What wonders a quality coach can do for a player.

He is in great form at the moment but i just can’t understand why he didnt pass to Garnacho and just kept the ball at the end. I still think he has some chinks in decision making but he is rapidly becoming the player we all hoped he will be when he burst on the scene
Scored in 13 of 16 games since the world cup. Had two assists in one of the games he didn't score, also.
He's been brilliant form is temporary class is permanent. He has class. Reminds me to some extent I'm his game of Salah in parts where he doesn't have to be instrumental in the build up but rather is at the recieving end of things. It's interesting to see this because the start of the season his link up play was fantastic leading up until the Chelsea game at the bridge from what I remember. After that period he's maintained a good goal scoring record.

Played well in the central position tonight, Run the channels, run in behind linked play up reasonably well. Scored one, played a key role in the other, should of got a defender sent off and stretched Barca's defence all night.

Marcus has everything right now. Another beautifully taken goal but what really stood out was that chance he created in the first half saved by their keeper. The speed and balance of gliding past their defender to create their chance was jaw dropping good. Love him!

I just think the rest of his game was a bit up and down. But I pretty much always think thst of him.
