Never really been a fan of Rashford, he's a speed boat with no driver. Relies heavily on pace but his finishing is dreadful, he doesn't have that natural killer instinct in front of goal like a Van Nistlerooy, Cole, Yorke, Van Persie. He's one of those goalscorers that will score when he doesn't have to think but when he has time to think he invariably fluffs it. This is also another reason why I wanted Poch because i believe he would be the man to bring him on more than Ole. what I would say is that if the Barcelona story of £100 Mil was true i'd snap there hands off. We are in desperate need of a genuine goalscorer but how many are out there? And even more so, how many are we likely to get?

When he was coming up through the reserves and promoted to the senior squad, its was his finishing and positional work that was eye catching. For whatever reason hes starting to think he is Ronaldo or Neymar and is doing too much on the ball, his head has gotten a bit too big. In that regard a Van Gaal type of boss is perfect for him, as he nurtures young players but in a very discipline and strict approach that still allows them to flourish. And that's what he needs now. Ole is being a bit too chummy towards him. Jose is a complete confidence killer, especially for a player still developing

Excuse the crappy music

If Ole is buying into media hype over what he sees on the pitch and on the training ground, then he'd be a very unintelligent manager. I doubt that’s the case.

We didn’t get rid of Martial though, we offered him a contract on those terms and he never got close to 30g... in any season. Sanchez, who got 30 in his final full season with Arsenal, was offered double that.

If you’re Rashford’s agent and looking at what his teammates earn for how little they deliver, you’d feel absolutely justified in asking parity for your client. It’s not unfair or unreasonable in that context.

We’ve made a rod for our own back with the contracts we offered recently.

And yet, people want Ole sacked. I don't think he's the one giving out this big money contract.

And now we hear rumours that Ole will be overruled by Woodward in any attempts to sell Martial.

Of course not. The stupid contracts were given out when he was just a caretaker manager.

Anyone notice 90% of his shot recently was targeting the far post?
You're right though, His mind is full of fantasy for being as great as Ronaldo with beautiful goal as the result.

Someone has to show him a video of Pipo Inzaghi ugly goals, no pace, no power, ugly touch, but how he manage to score is something fundamental for a great striker.

Transfer Market has him at 75 million
You mean it's laughably high? He's a high-profile, versatile young forward who's got potential in abundance. In this market it's a price tag I'd expect from Transfer Market. You certainly wouldn't have laughed at it 3 or 4 months ago.

I think in a year or two he could be a 75 million striker or he could be a 20 million one. Yeah I think it's incredibly high. Really hope Rashford does well and if he sticks to the basics he can flourish in a good season.

Don't see any club willing to pay 75 million for him right now though.

Would be excited to have this Rashford kid at Old Trafford next season. Literally only one teenager who outperforms him on both xG and xA.

Please someone tell me that photo is outstandingly photoshopped.

Normally I don't really care what players do or wear in their day to day life, but feck me how in the mother fecking world can you wear your diminutive name around your fecking neck, it's absolutely disgusting, the last pussy he saw was his.

But hey, let's be positive for a bit, this is the world we live in. Some day we'll have kids that dress up like that and it will stop being such an odd thing for us.

I agree that the jewelry is horrible and most likely the worst piece jewelry ive ever seen (i laughed out loud the first time i saw it) but it is nice of Rashford that he takes the time to take a selfie with a fan. That other man was walking his dog, ran into Rashford and asked for a selfie.

I do wonder though.. Rashford is a football player for Manchester United and earns way more money than he knows what to do with it. How much would the ugliest piece of jewelry ever have cost? More than a year of 'our' wages?

Probably got it made in Selfridge's with the other Saudi Arabian ladies tbf.

How can anyone think that looks nice or cool?

It doesn't help that that selfie is one of the weirdest selfies ever, it looks like accidental one you take when unlocking a phone.

Plenty of people simply don't have any taste. Does he have a misuss? They usually help out in that.

What the feck is this shit around his neck?
It's a chain. You don't like it?:wenger:

It's mostly a footballers' thing (terrible taste) from what I noticed. I much prefer tennis players' outfits in general, especially now that ellesse is back:drool:.

Footballers live in a different stratosphere to the rest of the population.

That chain is fashionable in the US hip hop scene and, probably, in the microculture that Rashford exists in.

I personally think the look is cringey, but I'm not about to come on a football forum and critique one of our players for looking like a doofus in his free time. I could care less how our players dress as long as they perform on the pitch. I understand the temptation to find a correlation between poor performances and outlandish dress off the pitch, but those two things are, in reality, not indelibly linked.

And that would be the correct and mature stance, but this is a football forum so you should probably come down to our level to fit in. Shouldn’t stick your neck out too much. Now where was I? Oh yes...

Rashy you couldn’t look worse if you dressed in the dark in Madonna’s wardrobe, ya daft cnut

Even on rappers you rarely see those types of chains. For good reason too, they suggest 'funny connotations'. There is a 'questionable' rapper scene though. He probably got his inspiration from Lil Uzi Vert who wears women's clothing & wears choker chains.

He's free to express and live whatever way he chooses but it's a bit strange.

It makes you wonder about him and what kind of people he has surrounding him.

Mind boggling stuff from Rashford.

People claimed that the hype got to his head, i refused to believe that and thought he was just short of confidence. But it seems to be the truth when you see shit like this.

There is hope that he will mature faster than Lingard. I imagine in 10 years he will lock at this pics and think "what the hell were i'm doing"...(as i do when i look on my facebook pics from 10 years ago)

All I'm saying is if you get your own bloody name put on a massive chain it says a lot about you as a person.

He looks light years away from the humble kid that broke through and it's not even been that long nor has he achieved that much.

They may not correlate most of the time but seeing him plate 'Rashy' on that tedious chain suggests he thinks he's made it already. Hardly gives you a vibe of someone who's embarrased and super furious after that abomination of a season from us - that's what we need from our players.

The MAN not kid,has yet to hit 20goals a season yet is demanding 2-300k a week........let that sink in.

He was the one player I thought would not change his attitude too quickly. Got a soft spot for him as he's the only United player I saw live, apart from watching us play at OT that is but I'm sorry, wearing 'ICON' t-shirts and crocodile caps for £200,000 at his age and stature in the game is too much for a grumpy feck like me. Then there is that vomit-inducing piece of shit around his neck after the season we've had. Makes you feel Keano mode tbf.

That is incredibly high by TM standards because they tend to have conservative estimates if anything. They have Kane at about £130m whilst also valuing him as one of few most expensive players in the world by their own measures.

If Kane is £130m, I really don't think Rashford is currently £75m, even though I like him.

Maybe they included Rashford's chain in the price?

Agreed - and as someone mentioned previously, it seems a bit much to criticize him when he's taking the time to chat with a fan. I'm not sold on Rashford the player, and I find his double act with Lingard tiresome, but he seems like a good guy.
