To come in, having not started for a while and produce that kind of performance is fantastic.

Just like he did when he came on against Palace, he stretched the Liverpool side from the off. Got himself into 1v1 situations with Arnold, because Salah doesn't track back.

Two superb, composed finishes, and ran his socks off as usual. Superb performance. Must start against Sevilla.

Rashford's first half performance (and Bailly's) today expresses one thing which tends to be missing from our team, that dominating or "arrogance" I-own-this-pitch kind of plays. Nice to see this again, even if it's just one half :D the promise is there and his improvements is scary.

Love the intensity he brings on the pitch, always makes great movement and runs his bollocks off. He's a complete pest. That's what's going to shape him as a top player.

Also, he has like 0% body fat, those abs ffs.

When Juan scored a brace at Anfield, we remember that tie as Juanfield, we should refer to this tie as Old Rashfford

Hopefully we are back to Rashford vs Martial for left-wing these boys are more effective and dangerous than Alexis from the left

After I saw Rashgord against Crystal Palace, I desperately wanted to see him start ahead of Martial today. The kid is a terror to any defence when in form. I was glad when I saw the team sheet. No disrespect to Martial though. He is a great talent.

Honestly don't think his first goal is getting enough credit.

Great touch with his head to get in position, sublime chop inside leaving TAA all at sea, and a brilliant finish.

It's a great goal. Superb finish.

By the time that kid grows a beard, he will be regarded as one of the best players we have seen.

Them abs when he lifted his shirt, what the fek are those =)

Absolutely excellent. That 1st goal was an absolute peach the way he cut in on his right and drilled it right into the corner. Well played Marcus!

Yeah, that cushioned header was necessary and perfectly done. So few touches done so quickly and precisely, and at speed, followed by an unstoppable finish. Any player would have been proud of that goal. It flowed from start to finish, and showed the speed of his thought as well as his skill.

Got me really excited for him next year. If he can make the left inside-forward position his own and be an unprecedented starter for a full season, I think we'll start to see some great numbers from him.

I had a thought about him this morning (on the train to the rugby). Remember when he was lethal and when he was the one opposition defences were worried about. Welcome back Marcus, it's been a while, what a performance.

"Rashy" sounds so...

Damn, those abs of him.

Jose commented post-match press conference saying that his performance in training is so good, and something that people can't see during games, and he did commented way before this that Rashford scored a lot of unbelievable goals in trainings.

Now, he's starting to translate/bringing those training performances into games. More please.

1 goal every 156 minutes against top 6. Impressive.

This kid really is something special. My word. This was the perfect game for him to explode back into the lineup and what a performance. Totally shimmied that defender out of his boots for the first goal! Where was he going, give him a map!

So proud of him. He dropped back into the squad, got his head right and got his game to shine and shine he did. Perfect man management from the boss.

Defenders are terrified of him. I hate to say it, but he should model himself on Salah. There's no reason he can't get the same kind of results when he matures.

Keep him within the width of the box and he’s destructive; it’s when he’s wide that he really struggles to impose himself. I wouldn’t be against sometimes using him as the #10 for that reason - plus his shooting technique is quality, he could ping a few 30 yarders from that position.

What I like about Rashford is his attitude. I didn’t agree with people’s assessment of his performances when he stopped scoring. He was never particularly out of form. He was still doing the right things and having an impact on games. He cracked the woodward several times too. He doesn’t disappear like Martial has a habit of doing. If Martial had his attitude, he’d be such a better player.

Always worth reminding yourself of his age too. Kane is still thought of as a young centre forward but at Rashford’s current age he was still several months away from his first Spurs league start and goal.

He's been shite lately. Really needed a performance. Hoepfully can kick on again from here. Would love him and martial to cement their places

Martial in love with Rash:

I've noticed this about Martial, he's definitely a team player and loves it just as much when his mates do well as when he does. It's such a fantastic attitude to have, especially considering that they are both ostensibly competing for the same place.

Bodes well for his long-term future here, IMO.
