I think Rashford might just be the better talent at the moment, but Iheanacho doesn't rely on pace as much.

And thats why I think Iheanacho will be better in the future

Has he actually even had one poor game since he got his first start for us? He is on fire

Ibra is the one to lead the line. He drops deep often sure, but you dont want to play him purely as a 10 and thats something Mourinho would never do really. Would be more of him playing next to rashford as a 4-4-2 (which I'm not against at all). Though I would agree its probably our most exciting front 4 and I would hope we see it against some weaker sides.

He can't stretch teams. Rashford can. Playing him off the striker with complete freedom to roam makes perfect sense, as he's very creative and can link the play. Once we have hard working wide players either side of him and movement around him, he will find their runs for fun. He can still make late runs into the box to score headers while playing that position. Rooney and Ibrahimović is overkill for me. Rashford and Lingard are two of our best players at making runs off the ball. They're not interested in dropping off all the time. This is why I believe that Rashford must lead the attack.

Thinking about it, I'm a little torn abut him playing for the senior team with all the baggage they have.
The under 21s just seems a better environment at the moment. They also have a very good chance of winning something next summer. It might be good for Rashford to have that experience instead of the negativity with Fat Sam and Co.
It's difficult to know what's right for him at the moment.

Just think he has only managed us for one game, talk about a horrific appointment.

He doesn't strike me as the type to be bothered by baggage. Seems just to get on with it. I think he'd be a breath of fresh air for England.

What the feck is wrong with you?
That took one of you long enough!

But he aint, because he has brought me something to be positive about regarding England and United leading up to the derby. You got a problem with that, bud?

His overall game was top notch today. Has to start against City simply because he is the most inform player.

Yes he does seem grounded... but he's still 18... don't want the kid picking up the team's current shite mentality:(

Yes I have actually. Focus on Rashford. No need to mention Rooney's name every fecking post. It gets boring.

Fact is, if Rashford goes onto have the same career Rooney has, then we'll all be happy.

Enjoy him whilst you can, he's probably only got another fifteen years in him!
Yippee!

He is a freak of nature we have three players in are team Martial,Shaw and Rashford there all destined to be world beaters,we also have 4 or 5 world class players in the team.We are a scary outfit, teams fear us again no doubt add Grizemann to this next year and we are up there with the top dogs of Europe again.

You've confused me buddy.
Why would Rashford start just because Mkhi is out? Mkhi hasn't started a game yet. People have been saying since he joined that he's not being started as to surprise city/keep him fresh for the city game or whatever, but it was all just assumptions.

Mata will start against City in my opinion, with Rashford still on the bench. There's no way Rashford will play ahead of Rooney or Ibra.

Wasn't convinced at first and still think he needs nurturing etc but he's some talent...just the energy and enthusiasm makes him superior to the likes of Rooney - forget age, he's almost certainly a better option based on potential contribution.

It was purely my preference, I wasn't saying it as fact.

That would involve leaving out Rooney, which is probably not going to happen, and also 4-4-2 against a side like City, I don't like that

We are talking hypothetically it doesn't matter what is probably going to actually happen. Chances are it will be the exact same line up as last game.

He needs to bulk up

He has quite a bit.

Formations aren't that important its more about the players on the pitch and the tactics. Nobody has ever won or lost based on formation selection.

I get what you mean and I agree to a point, but a 4-4-2 with Rashford and Ibra up top is not going to get it done. At least against a Guardiola side.

City play with two very deep playmakers in silva and kdb, their supply line is the full backs jumping in to the centre and fernandinho, but a withdrawn Rashford with all of his energy in there cutting out these channels and it nullifies a lot of their tactic. A similar role to something Wellbeck did for us on many occasions, it may not be glamorous but it helps dealing with city's domination, and gets him on the pitch ready to run in behind on counter attacks we launch down the flanks.
