Sell. I'll drive him to the airport my self
Evra joined us midseason in January and was excellent after a full preseason. Rojo has been here two full seasons. Really don't understand the comparison.Sorry, not really directed at you but Rojo does seem to attract a lot of hate from a lot of United fans when players like Schniedlerlin who were just as bad last season just can't seem to do no wrong.
I think Rojo just may need a bit longer to settle and could turn out ok. He just reminds me of Paddy Evra and how he started out in his first couple of seasons before being a great servant for many years at United.
I think people should cut Rojo some slack and at least give him another year.
The fact Shaw's just come back from a year out and is obviously going to take a while to get his form back whilst Rojo came off a season of being utter shit and got sat on his backside with a bit of schoolboy, idiotic defending again might be the reason for that.Funny how Shaw was the one who lost Dembele letting him run straight at the defence yet Rojo's the one getting all the hate.
Dembele lost Shaw the exact same way he lost Rojo. If Rojo's defending was schoolboy & idiotic then so was Shaw's.The fact Shaw's just come back from a year out and is obviously going to take a while to get his form back whilst Rojo came off a season of being utter shit and got sat on his backside with a bit of schoolboy, idiotic defending again might be the reason for that.
I agree with you Dr Pavel.Dembele lost Shaw the exact same way he lost Rojo. If Rojo's defending was schoolboy & idiotic then so was Shaw's.
It was an awesome piece of skills by Dembele that took out 2 defenders who were playing their 2nd game of pre season in very difficult conditions. If we're going to give Shaw the benefit of the doubt then Rojo deserves the same.

Shaw was not close enough to Dembele, letting him receive the ball on the half turn, then stuck a leg out and got turned. Exactly the same as Rojo, only difference is Dembele was running full pelt when he got to Rojo.Shaw's challenge was soft and it bounced back to Dembele, he didn't get put on his arse by someone merely changing direction. It was good play by an outstanding young player but it's rare to see a centre back get beaten so badly. I'm not sure why Rojo deserves the same benefit of the doubt anyway, Shaw is just back from a broken leg whilst we've had a season (more a season and a bit) that shows Rojo is not good enough and prone to fairly frequent moments of brainless defending. If Shaw has a woeful season and is doing stuff like that next pre-season then my reaction will be different but that isn't the case.
Disagree. Dembelele is very good running at defender in one on one situation. It can be happening to anyone. Mourinho clearly stated in the press conference, we don't scout or try to negate Dortmund's tactic = we let some of their greater threat with more space than a real game should require. Here we tried to experiment our own tactics, set play, positioning... Rojo can get a pass for this one vs one. There are still more than enough awful postioning error to see with Rojo than just use this instance to criticize him which happened many times during pre season for many defenders.Shaw's challenge was soft and it bounced back to Dembele, he didn't get put on his arse by someone merely changing direction. He is a penalty ticking time bomb at CB. Just imagine Heinze but all the bad parts and very little of the good.I never want to see him at LB again. I prefer him in the centre and I think he may be better than Jones there. He is a backup at best and will probably kick up a fuss and pout when he only gets league Cup and injury fill in starts.
ThisI really like the fecker, a crazy argie defender and one of the few guys in last years squad with a set of balls, but unfortunately he's just not good enough.

Because he was clearly better than Evans in the one season they both played at United. No idea what's happened to him since then, though.A serious liability with at least one brainfart a game
Really don't see how he warrants a place in the squad at LB with Shaw, Borthwick-Jackson, Blind and TFM available there....
If we see him as backup at CB then I think we are really fecked... Sell and bring in experience
How this guy was deemed better than Johnny Evans I will never know

I think the CB experiment is over after this latest showing. He's a good backup LB. He's tall, athletic, and can cross. Sounds like a Mourinho fullback to me.
Eh? I can't think of one good cross he's ever put in. That's the main reason I think he's a shite fullback, basically gives the ball straight to the opposition every time he tries to pass or cross when he goes forward.
Nothing player. I would seriously accept £5m for him. Knowing us that is probably what we'll get as well.

Evans was injured quite a lot that season and his confidence was shot. Just look at him and Rojo now to see the difference.Because he was clearly better than Evans in the one season they both played at United. No idea what's happened to him since then, though.
EDIT: Rojo's cross for Herrera's goal
I think we might struggle to get any sort of fee as who is going to pay his wages?Nothing player. I would seriously accept £5m for him. Knowing us that is probably what we'll get as well.
£5m is about right, I'd be fine with that. It's his wages that will be a stumbling block I'd imagine.Nothing player. I would seriously accept £5m for him. Knowing us that is probably what we'll get as well.
Nah, Rojo puts in a decent cross. The only problem is that he's pretty crap at every other attribute you'd want in a fullback. And even worse in central defence.
Now there is no question who is playing better, but two seasons ago, Evans was an absolute disaster.Evans was injured quite a lot that season and his confidence was shot. Just look at him and Rojo now to see the difference.
Rojo will put in one decent cross in a game, if you're lucky. 8/10 will hit the first man and 1/10 will sail over the bar
He had a few really bad games but then his injury affected him more. Rojo was average in his first season with us and has been diabolical ever since. Now there is no question who is playing better, but two seasons ago, Evans was an absolute disaster.
