Surprised to see there's no muppet transfer thread for the guy seeing as we've been linked to him now.

Would absolutely love him here. Absolutely class player and would instantly give us a tier 1 CM for years to come.

Don't do it yourself we have no chance of this lad joining. Lol all because he loves Zlatan who incidentally is still to sign. The rumours are getting worse and worse.

He's one signing I don't think we can pull off because of the way PSG refuse to even listen to offers for players they don't want to sell. But hey, he's my dream CM signing so I'll spend a summer being a muppet for him anyways.
 
I would love to see him here,he can be great replacement for Carrick,guy got great vision and passing.But now i have to contain myself that PSG will not be temped with the money at offering.
 
There isn't a thread because even the most major Muppet can't believe this story and take ot seriously. It's a non-starter from the get go.
 
Unless he wants another challenge he is untouchable. And if Verrati is on the move im sure Barca/Madrid will be looking too ( for them Pogba seems the priority though ) . Verrati is only one of the few players where I wouldnt mind how much we spent to get him

He would be my dream CM signing, but he's not coming.
Every major club in the world wants him, so he's not going to choose a club that isn't in the Champs League over Madrid/Barca/Bayern.
Plus PSG clearly wont sell, he's contracted until 2020 and they definitely don't need the money.
 
Too busy dribbling in the wrong half of the pitch so it's no wonder he doesn't really make any assists, nor score goals. £80m in a world gone mad.

The Italian Leon Britton no less, only with more fouling :)

He is more of a ball playing defensive midfielder. Makes lots of tackles and keeps things ticking over with his admirable passing ability.
 
We have more chance of getting Mueller, Bale or Neymar than Verratti.

Even if he wanted out of PSG, which he doesn't, he'd have his pick of all the best clubs in Europe.

I don't think his bond to Zlatan is enough to entice him here even in an open market, let alone with us being out of he CL.

Verratti is the only 100 mil € player out there. If you like football, you know that.
 
I now dismiss any link between Manchester United and €100 million players. There have been so many ridiculous links, Ronaldo, Bale, Neymar, Muller...for crying out loud the red tops even said we've inquired about Messi. Its not worth considering.

First, Veratti plays for one of the richest clubs on earth. PSG does not need to sell its players to anyone. The only concern it has is keeping its annual spending within the financial fair play envelope. If PSG does not want to sell Veratti he will not be going anywhere. Second, is Veratti going to leave medal guaranteeing PSG for Man Utd while we are in the Europa League? Mourinho is a great pull but most elite players won't leave the biggest clubs on earth to come to us while we're not competing at the highest level.

If this transfer happens I will be literally speechless.
 
I think because we all know it's a non-starter. PSG don't need to sell anyway, and there's no way their top brass would risk the wrath of the fans by losing him and Zlatan in one summer. Unless he had a year left on his deal or threw a strop Rojo style then there's no way this gets off the ground.

Never understood this. Veratti ain't winning the Champions League with PSG anytime soon. Ligue one is child's play compared to the EPL, some players with much higher ceilings prefer a bigger challenge. He won't come though, even if he tried to force it PSG don't need money.

Porto won it, a struggling Chelsea won it and Monaco reached the final. PSG have a chance to win it, a better chance than United.

Medals mate. PSG aren't far off winning the Champions League and they have the cash to attract top players. Plus there's nothing players like more than winning medals. At PSG he's guaranteed a title winning medal every year. He's valued, has a great lifestyle. Maybe he does want a challenge? Be unsurprising if he didn't.
 
Only thing you will accomplish with this thread is to increase the load on Caf servers.

Whats all the negativity about. At the end of the day, no matter how many medals PSG win they'll never be remotely as big as Man Utd. Do you see someone as talented as him ending his career at PSG? He could be tempted at the chance of playing in a world class league, lets be honest you could be ripping it up in Ligue 1 still there'd be question marks on you.
Real will sign Pogba this summer, so that option is gone, Busquets just signed a new contract cant see him getting benched at Barca and Bayern wont spend that high.
PSG do have to balance their books dont they? With them going after Neymars and Ronaldos of the world there's no way they'll get away without any inflow of cash. If Mou makes big signings, proving that Man Utd means business I can see this happening. Let the juices flow and unleash your inner muppet.
