He was very good when he came on. He's growing more into this team, and I think he would be a fantastic acquisition on a permanent transfer.
Having him as a box to box in front of casemiro is beastly at just winning every duel in there. Want to see a 3 of him, Fred and casemiro soon. Would be impossible to play through
From next game it's time to make him Casemiros partner
I like him. A lot. I still maintain the belief that he makes for a better starter than Fred. Less erratic on the ball without being any less hard working.
Start Fred, Sabitzer and Casemiro against Liverpool. Go for the kill !

Tbh I don't think he is better than Fred. Overall on a similar level. Fred is so underrated. A trio of them 2 and casemiro to close out every game is so good to haveCouldn't agree more. Can't wait to see him from the start with Casemiro.
I firmly believe he is our 3rd best CM after Casemiro and Eriksen.
I want him. Yes. Both sexually and to join the team. He has that bite + technique (also sexually) that would be a huge complement to the team.
I know it may be rose tinted glasses what with just winning the cup and everyone feeling good but I would be delighted with both himself and Weghorst staying.
I’d go for that

I think from what we've seen, the rumoured 15-20m fee would be more than worth it.
Comfortably his best performance for us so far, and the first time I’ve been really impressed with his whole performance rather then just moments within it. Made a huge contribution to solidifying that midfield & stopping Newcastle getting at the back four. Also played a couple of lovely passes. If he he keeps that up, and the price is genuinely in the £15/20 million range then it’s a no brainer make him a permanent signing.

He's not even that inconsistent though, when used properly. His main inconsistency comes when he's asked to be the deep midfielder/deep playmaker. If he has Casemiro next to him, he's not too inconsistent. Still will have sloppy passes now and then but not in a "he's having a terrible game" sort of way. That tends to happen if he doesn't have someone sitting behind him.Freds not underrated. He's woefully inconsistent. You always get energy and workrate though
Yes, he’s very good, eh? It’s bound to take him some time to fully aclimatise to what has become a tight unit of a team, but he seems to be getting there. Have to disagree based on past performances of Sabitzer. The problem with Fred is that he’s just massively erratic, we’ve seen it ourselves over the last game or two, there’ll be a half where he’s utter dogshit and just misplacing even the simplest of passes and is just invisible, then another half where he’s genuinely class and he is running the midfield - it’s absolutely bizarre but he’s been like this since he’s been here.Tbh I don't think he is better than Fred. Well put. That price is a no brainer.Comfortably his best performance for us so far, and the first time I’ve been really impressed with his whole performance rather then just moments within it. He might not be happy being second string at this stage of his career but who knows
I am pretty sure we will try to sign him and Bayern won’t oppose as they have no real need to bring him back. A fee should also not be excessive and with him, Casemiro, Fred and Eriksen we are going to have our midfield sorted for the next 2-3 years.
I agree with the OP with regard to him and Eriksen being adequate for the central role partnering Casemiro. What we'd then need would be a young DM to understudy Casemiro for a couple of seasons, coming in when he is out injured/suspended or in the midst of a congested fixture list, then taking on more responsibility in his third season just as Case will be winding down.We need one more midfielder desperately. 4 midfielders for three spots (5 if you include mctom) is asking for trouble. A Caicedo or de Jong and then our midfield is sorted l.
Signing either of them for £80m or more it'd take to buy them, and then shifting all of Fred, Sabitzer and Eriksen permanently to bench doesn't feel right. We play 2 in midfield for vast majority of time and I do not expect Bruno to be out of the team next season, so the instances where we'd be able to play 3 of them at the same time would be fairly infrequent. We need one more midfielder desperately. 4 midfielders for three spots (5 if you include mctom) is asking for trouble.
