It's good news for us - not just in terms of the player, but in terms of what it means for the team. The Geyse signing has been rumoured since May, it's nice seeing it happening. Shopping on the top shelf!
A really interesting signing in Geyse as she's such a different striker to Russo. I'm really looking forward to seeing her and what she can do. Hopefully we can get another CF in as Geyse, Thomas & Williams isn't enough for the CL and WSL. Daly would be very obvious upgrade to Thomas along with being cover at left back for Blundell. This would be much better than using Thoresdottir as full back cover.
Didn't someone say that Daly is Millie's ex and that could be the reason we aren't interested
The cheek of it
Exactly.. United wouldn't be able to go on a spending spree with the extra cash, we'd just be struggling to replace a keeper this year rather than next year. The current highest fee for a GK is below £50k.
Russo 2.0 story incoming?

Esmee Brugts is probably the misy exciting youg footballer in nHolland. I hope we go for her
Very interesting. With Geyse, I wonder how we are thinking of setting up. Miyazawa scored for fun in the WC, but normally I believe she is a midfielder? Her goal count for Verdy Tokyo and Mynavi Sendai are not of the striker variety. However, she was MVP two years in a row in the Japanese WE league at a very young age, so exciting!
It is very exciting news indeed. She is first and foremost a midfielder, but she will always find ways to create havoc on the attack. Back in the 2018 U20 WWC, she was a key playmaker while Saori Takarada (who unfortunately did not play much in 2023 for some reason) and Rino Ueki banged the goals on the way to the title.
Yea, we really need to clinch that new contract with her to avoid repeating ourselves.Feck off Arsenal! Just offer a 4 years BIG contract to Earps. Its time to get serious now we will be left in the dust behind Arsenal!
It doesn't seem as if Kerolin will come until January, if at all. I would imagine the aim would be to bring in full back cover and maybe another midfielder before the window is done, I maybe would have liked to have seen more depth added at number 9 and more quality at centre back but it's difficult to get everything. It will likely look like:Sounds promising. Still makes me wonder how a first 11 will look if we manage to bring in Kerolin as well.
We’ll have Toone, Miyazawa and Keroline, all sort of attacking midfielders, and Zelem /Bø Risa who are bothe stronger creatively than defensively as well. DM and wingers are a bit less covered it seems?

Kyra Cooney-Cross plays for my club in sweden Hammarby so I know she is a terrific prospect. Her contract with Hammarby expires in about 8-10 games and then every club will go after her. Hammarby does not have the finances to keep her obviously.
The question is if any club would pay a bigger transfer fee to Hammarby immediately now to not have competition from other clubs after her contract has expired. That could be a real smart move. Not sure if Hammarby would sell as we fight for Champions league qualifying spots and also the league title. I guess it would have to be a decent bid to let her go immediately. United did buy Lotta Ökvist from Hammarby before, so at least the clubs have negotiated before.
With signing, do they mean the clubs would sign her to a contract that starts after her time with Hammarby is done in november? Is that allowe? Or they just assume Hammarby will release/sell her without any fuss with immediate effect?
With Australia playing in the semis and final/bronze game she will attract even more clubs.
Did they manage to get Cooney-Cross in?
Miyazawa would be great too.
What about the player they were linked with from the US, Brazilian player? Apologies I cannot recall her name.
