Manchester United vs Wrexham (Wed 26th July, 03:30 UK time)

It was rich New Yorkers but yeah. As much as it annoyed me, I ended up lining the Glazer pockets by getting the nosebleeds for the Arsenal game. They went for 380$ each and the ones next to the touchline were ~1500.

Ridiculously overpriced that.

This match has to be the biggest scam I have seen in a good bit. Someone should have found a way to put Wrexham either very early in the tour or after the team returns to England.

I like Hannibal. I know this place doesn't quite rate him but he has Gerrard vibes for me. Needs a few years to bulk up and develop his game.
His delivery from set-pieces is very good but there's just something weird about his style of play.

$380 is wild, that’s pretty much how much it cost me to do both Sociedad & Betis away combined last season. Was that the face value price?

Shoretire is genuinely poor, I just don't see any potential there and I have seen better players released.

Brilliant mentality there by the kids.

That was the face value (not resale) :(

Got them as soon as they went on sale. Our finance people are pretty good in terms of how much they can squeeze out of each deal.

I only tuned in at 30 mins but we've been all over them, really impressive performance. Guess i turned on at the right time. Evans has looked a bit pants though..

At least now we know which if these players will never make it to first team.

Only just tuned in and saw the goal.

What's this thing about a bad challenge? Did one of the kids feck one of them up?!

How's hannibal played? Stand out players so far?

Good goal. We are lacking upfront and Hugill on his own is not really up to it so that’s a good boost for the lads. Still fear the set plays by Wrexham - looks like men v boys aerially.

Been watching him for years, and it's obvious he's very gifted. Very talented player. But feel like he's one of those players who are stuck between two roles.

He's not creative or productive enough to be your main AM, not disciplined/robust enough to play as a CM for United, nor is he a deeplying playmaker.

But talented and good enough to make it somewhere, maybe even in the Prem someday.

That’s maybe the best description I’ve seen of Hannibal. I’ve not been able to put my finger on it.

I do think there’s a lot to like and he could well be one of those players who suddenly takes a big step forward.

He has good industry, aggression and enough technical ability to play alongside players who can do the other things. Kind of like Wijnaldum at Liverpool.

Seriously, why would you integrate them into our US tour when it would be a better fit to have them play in Edinburgh or in Dublin? People have been saying a lot of things about crazy ticket prices before today too, and then people can't even see the first team tonight. It is what it is: it's a scam.

Its clearly Wrexhams pre season. They are having it in the US and our reserves were invited to play them.
It was pretty clear from the start.

Why on earth are Homewood,Webber and whoever that is wearing the new Utd shirt

Glad we got that well worked goal just before HT.

We've not created enough but didn't deserve to be 2 goals down - just the usual thing you see in EFL Trophy games, the experience and physicality of the hardened pros a bigger threat from set pieces, long throws, etc.

I think Hannibal has been the one looking to make things happen, but doesn't have the same calibre of team mates around him capable of linking up with him, etc. I'm often left a little frustrated with the likes of Hansen and Shoretire - both a little like the big doubt I had about Iqbal, that he was pretty enough on the ball if given time, but just didn't look much of an individual threat and didn't dominate games or provide much end product. They both need to add much more to their end game if they're going to kick on.

Why not? It was always advertised as a game for a mix of younger players in the travelling squad and academy players not on the tour. It’s not a first team game and has been clearly advertised as such ever since day 1. If people are too stupid to read United’s own information announcing the game that’s on them, it’s not a scam at all.

Not sure what happened in the last year. He was on an upward trajectory and suddenly he is no longer in ETH's plans.

That’s insane mate. I felt ripped off paying £115 for the cup final

Who is the guy being interviewed ? The one closest to the interviewer ?

Yeah ofcourse, he is the biggest talent over 16 years in our academy.

But Gore and Fernandez could have a future here, Kovar could as well.
TBF I doubt it for any of them aside from Kobbie from that age group. Not to be harsh on them, but just purely odds. We tend to get 1 guy break through from a certain group, this one we'll have mainoo in addition to Garnacho. I'd be surprised if it's anything more from the current U21 team.

I dont get the hype either, he doesnt seem particularly good at anything. He was really highly rated some years ago he made his debut 3 years ago when he was 16 if I'm not mistaken but hadnt happen anything since.

Yeah be surprised if any of these break through

Gore and Fernandez maybe, Kovar is done. He looked good on the games on this preseason but he's 23 already and we just signed Onana who's 27. Unless something really strange happens Kovar wont even get a chance here.
