Manchester United vs Wrexham (Wed 26th July, 03:30 UK time)

This guy disagrees

Who cares what that loser is saying.

1. Club made it clear back when the fixture was announced.

2. This is the official poster. A bit of common sense and anyone would understand that they wouldn't be using a bunch of no names in their advertising if there wasn't a good reason behind it.

3. Why on earth would United's main players face fecking Wrexham in the States? They were a Conference team when the fixture was announced ffs. What purpose would it serve? What answers would the manager get? We barely ever face teams this shite in the 3rd round of the FA cup. Again, you can't go wrong with an ounce of common sense.

I'm looking at going to the Lens game with the kids, but I'd like to know if it's the first team there or if they will be in Dublin.
I think he’ll probably mix them with first teamers and youngsters. He might want to give people like Onana and Mount a first taste of being at home.

I'd be p*sped off if I’d spent hundreds of dollars to watch this - it originally said a youth focused team selected from the travelling squad supplemented by academy prospects. This is now a totally academy team, and hardly even “prospects” - the better academy prospects are in Texas.

Kickoff times for preseason games played in US. Asian fans watch a whole season, especially CL and EL games at silly kickoff times on a working day. Preseason is what a handful of games.

Could always follow an Asian side.

*Runs*

Hope we smash them, can't stand wrexham, only good thing about that place is Bootlegger

Biggest thing will be some cool merch. Otherwise kind of forgettable game innit?

Funny thing is, in the US, this game vs Wrexham is televised nationally but the game tomorrow against Real isn't.

I live in the Houston area but couldn't stomach the $200+ seats to sit in the upper deck of NRG. I've been up there. You're basically watching the game on the big screen because you can't make out anyone on the field.

Yeah between the description released in March and the poster I think people can't argue they couldn't have known. Still - people don't pay attention to 99% of stuff being put in front of them so while not quite justified, some of the negative response is hardly surprising.

Is anybody else on the fence about getting up for this one? Not sure it's worthy of a 3am get up.

Don’t know why people are getting so upset about this. It’s a pre season friendly. It’s all about fitness and minutes. It’s not like we are only playing League 2 teams this pre season, we managed to go a bit lower by playing Arsenal.

feck off to clownland American cnut owners. Hehe let's play soccer!!! Was a waste of one of our pre season games and is waste of one of yours.

Edit: I now see you're treating this as a game to play the kids (+Evans). Wish we did the same.

I think the stronger side (basically the one ETH has planned for the Wolves opening fixture) will be for the Lens game. Get them to play a game together for a large amount of time (70-75 mins) at Old Trafford in prep for that Wolves match a week later on Monday. Plus an extra days rest without the need of having to travel again to Dublin after non-stop travelling across the States. Think the reserves/youngsters players will be in the Dublin game.

I’m feckin pissed. Driving all the way down to SD and find out no star players are on the team except Johnny Evans. $180 for good seats too and bought them early. feck me sideways with a cactus.

Their nationality has nothing to do with them being cnuts.
