decent first half, played well, we did let them back in for the last 10 mins or so, but over all I am happy with the first half.
I was always skeptical of Buttner. I just don't really see why we signed him, he's no where near good enough.

Hasn't been the most interesting of games. The balance of the defence was lost when Rafael went off, he gives an attacking outlet Jones just doesn't. We're not playing well out from the back. The defenders seem unable to pass it to someone unless they're standing in acres of space and this unwillingness to trust our midfielders to turn their men and take the ball forward is slowing everything down.

Last 15 minutes or so we dropped off, but not many complaints so far. Best praise I can offer Moyes is that if I didn't know better it could easily have been Fergie managing us so far, no obvious differences.
Different Manager, Different season but the same team with the same strengths and the same weaknesses! The formation and our attacking approach is almost identical too. If you didn't show David Moyes on the sidelines you'd think that Fergie is still in charge.
A good first 25-30 minutes but then wigan started their thuggery and keeping the ball at the back and we just dont have the legs to press them yet. Still, a solid defensive performance and Zaha looks the real deal. Its like watching a young Ronaldo all over again.

Good half from us. Not many chances created but we've controlled the game. Lacking a creative spark but to be expected with both Kagawa and Rooney not featuring.
Yep, this just reminds me of last season. We'll only get going again if we concede.
