David de Gea - has been under a bit of criticism from our own fanbase lately and after conceding five goals against Leicester City, pressure will be on him to have a great performance against West Ham United.

Diafra Sakho - scored a beautiful goal against Liverpool. There are a few players I could mention here, with Downing doing well against his old club too. We've got goal threat, but so do they.

    Factoid
West Ham's Enner Valencia scored his first Premier League goal for the club in his third appearance. Manchester United's Antonio Valencia scored his first Premier League goal for the club in his eighth game and scored four more that season - his highest scoring league season to date.

The Leicester result is a sickener. LVG will need to give the lads a psychological boost.

    DDG

    Rafa, Smalling, Rojo, Shaw

    Adnan, Blind, Herrera, ADM

    Mata

    Falcao.

I know LVG will never drop his boys Rooney and RVP but one can only dream. Unfortunately, we don't have many alternatives to Rafa.

    Will most likely be:

    de Gea

    Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw

    Blind
    Herrera di Maria

    Rooney

    Falcao van Persie

With the injuries and suspensions we've got, Shaw can't be ignored much longer.

Keep Falcao and RvP in the team, drop Rooney for Mata and Rafael-Smalling-Rojo-Shaw back four. Keep everyone else.

No need to panic, beside the defence we have fantastic players everywhere.

Another false dawn here before we get embarrassed at the back by Everton in a couple of weeks.

Our defense will have some poblems with the industry, power and pace of players like Ener Valencia, Sakho and kyoute. However, the leceister game was hopefully just a slip caused by poor refereeing decision. I expect us to come out with a convincing victory in this game. Result something along the line of 4-4 .

I think this is the game to drop mata and not the leceister match considering the physical presence of the West ham team. I will go with

    De Gea
    Rafael - Smailing - Jones/Rojo - Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera - Di Maria
    Rooney
    Januzaj - Falcao

Don't see what all the panic is about, honestly. Can't stress this enough. We're shit enough to lose to Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Everton and etc. but not shit enough to lose against West Ham.

    "BUT WE LOST AGAINST LEICESTER!"

We lost today because of a combination of Clattenburg and our players thinking they can afford to get all angry and prissy about Clattenburg. We had this game in the bag before the ref decided to send it the other way. All van Gaal needs to address is calmness in situations like these and we'll do good. My guess is a 4-2 win our way.

And yes, our defence is shit, but as it stands, I think we have the best attack in the league. And we were doing a good job of keeping the opposition in their own side of the field until, well, you know how it goes.

Van Persie will not be dropped, Rooney probably won't be either. Even though one of them should be, RvP a bit more.

After all the optimism for today, I am now dreading this. We simply cannot defend. West Ham have strong, lively players up front. Maybe 2-2 here.

Can see West Ham causing lots of problems with their new players. They look really dangerous.

Reckon we'll win comfortably like against QPR, and like it should have been today. Shaw at left back should help a lot defensively, at least I hope so. We'll be inconsistent this season with so many changes in the team and quite a bit of youth, but it will be exciting at least. Long term we'll be fine though. It's impossible for any team to instantly click after changing so many players over the summer, after a season as bad as last year too.

Think we may take a win by say 3-1, but I expect us to not have solved any problems. West Ham I think may not have the same energy after their win over Liverpool and that may help us also I think Falcao will be better.

The thing we have to remember is that in order to click and iron out the mistakes, we have to make said mistakes. Today's was probably the biggest we could make. And no, it wasn't shite defending.

We were so focused on yelling at Clattenburg and while that was admittedly justified - it cost us the game. If we never do that again, we'll be alright. Can't believe Herrera and Rooney got that mad. We could have easily made it 4-3 if they had just kept their cool and tried to get back into it. Instead, they hoofed the ball all over the place and lost their temper.

That is the biggest mistake we can make. Fix that and not even Clattenburg can beat us.

Factoid: A tale of two Valencias
    2zmBqou.png
Enner Valencia - scored his first Premier League goal for West Ham United in his third league appearance for the club against Hull City.

Antonio Valencia - scored his first Premier League goal for Manchester United in his eighth league appearance for the club against Bolton Wanderers. He later went on to score four more that season - his highest scoring league season to date.

    Team News

Some early team news from manager Louis van Gaal after the injury to Evans and suspension to Blackett. Looks like Shaw could be making his debut for the club.

@ManUtd: Van Gaal on #mufc's defence next week: "I think Shaw shall be fit enough to play and Rojo and Smalling can play. We can manage."

    Early Predicted Lineup:

    ______________________________________________________________________________

    1. De Gea

    2. Rafael 12. Smalling 5. Rojo 3. Shaw

    17. Blind
    21. Herrera 7. Di Maria
    8. Mata

    9. Falcao 10. Rooney

    _______________________________________________________________________________

    Bench:
    13. Lindegaard, 25. Valencia, 16. Carrick, 24. Fletcher, 44. Pereira, 11. Januzaj, 20. Van Persie

    --------------DDG-----------
    Rafael-Smalling-Rojo-Shaw
    -------------Blind--------------
    -----Herrera-----DiMaria-------
    -------------Mata----------------
    ------Falcao-----Rooney--------

Defence and Midfield is pretty obvious.

Dropping RvP because he doesn't look like caring, not that i think it's the case, but i want to see some hardworking players and passion right now.

There is a case for Januzaj getting a chance, but that should be instead of Rooney and he isn't getting benched.

We will probably struggle with their physic a bit, but in the end a 3-1 is a good bet.

No chance of a United clean sheet anyway! Will need to score plenty.

    De Gea
    Rafael - Smailing - Rojo - Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera - Di Maria
    Mata
    Rooney - Falcao

    Subs: Lindegaard,Valencia,Fletcher,Thorpe,Januzaj,RVP,Pereira

Big Sam was on tele today as a pundit and he seemed to stress on how weak our defence was.Seemed like he would target it.:nervous:

Hard to get too excited. We'll turn over West Ham with ease before losing our next remotely taxing fixture.

Not sure what the front 3 will be. Rvp scored but not much other then that, Falcao played well and rooney was average. Mata came on and did nothing other then lose the ball for Leicesters goal. I'm guessing:

    De gea
    Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Di maria
    Rooney
    Van Persie falcao

The league looks ridiculously open this year bar Chelsea.
We'd have been 2 points off 2nd if we'd not collapsed!

Same starting lineup as today, just with Shaw and Smalling in.

We need to see quickly whether Falcao, VP and Rooney can play well together, or whether we'll have to do some really awkward rotation. If using Mata like that isn't awkward enough!
