Every time I hear about Moyes and how he performs at his job, makes me ask the question, "What was Fergie thinking when he gave Moyes the job?"
Were drugs and alcohol involved. Or black magic? Voodoo? Mind control? Hypnosis?

This will definitely be a much harder game than most imagine. How much would Moyes love to steal a 0-0 at Old Trafford? I'm going for 2-0 but the goal will take a while, could see a 0-0 at HT.

Cant wait, finally match day. So boring without football

It's been a long wait, especially after getting used to seeing us play 2 matches/week for the last few months.

Hoping for some rotation but I can see Jose playing a strong lineup to build confidence after a week off and then rotate against Boro.

There isn't a chance in hell Sunderland nicks a draw. Anything under three goals for united should be seen as a disappointment.
A good old six nil battering would do it.

When was the last time we battered someone 6-0 though?

Even when we convincingly beat a team, it's usually only 2/3-0. Sounds spoilt really but we don't often go for big scores.

It does sound spoilt but i just think we are due to batter a team by five or more goals and why not hope it's against a Sunderland side managed by old davey.

    ...and the rumours start.

    Early team news rumours
There are suggestions Rooney and Mkhitaryan aren’t fit and the front three will be Mata, Lingard and Zlatan is the front three. It’s unconfirmed, of course.

In Mkhitaryan’s case, he might not be fit enough, since he was spotted arriving at The Lowry last night. So was Martial, but he hasn’t started since his disappointing performance against Spurs.

Every time I've gone for a high score we won with a low one so I went with 2-0 today :)

Here's the lineup I've gone with

    ------------DDGawd---------
    Valencia--Jones--Rojo--Darmian
    ------------Carrick-----------
    -----Herrera----Pogba-------
    Lingard----Zlatan----Martial

    Subs: Rooney, Micky, Mata

If Mkhi isn't fit, hope it's Zlatan, Lingard and Martial. Their defense is pretty slow, we can exploit that.

They'll be sat so deep I don't know whether pace will matter. Mata should and probably will start.

    You're missing sex...not literally I hope

    Suggestions Rooney is OUT today
Someone else has just said Rooney was spotted arriving in his car, so he may well be out of today’s game.

If someone doesn't have a message spray painted on a bed sheet sbout Moyes I'll be disappointed.

Come on lads, don't feck up my holidays now!!!

Let's start turning around our home form and continue our run of wins.

    Rooney injured
Apparent confirmation of what we have already told you. No Charlton record today.

No Wayne Rooney in MUFC squad today. He travelled here separately from the rest of the squad. Sounds like he's injured.

No chance of him leaving before he gets the record. Unlikely to leave for the money just after getting the record..

    So.. he's staying.

If I was a mod you'd have a tagline of Buzz Killington right now.

de gea valencia rojo jones darmian carrick herrera pogba mata lingaard zlatan is the rumour.

No Rooney then. Hoping for Mkhitaryan to come in for him.

A front three of Mkhitaryan, Ibrahimovic and Lingard would be nice.

    Mkhitaryan - Ibra - Mata

As the front three for me today, pace isn't all that important against a team who'll go for 9-0-1 formation.

    Starting line-ups
    UNITED'S LINE-UP
United: De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Rojo, Blind; Carrick, Herrera, Pogba; Mata, Lingard; Ibrahimovic. Subs: Romero, Darmian, Smalling, Fellaini, Mkhitaryan, Martial, Rashford.

Too many mince pies the fat bastard. He's always "injured" round Christmas.
