Could tomorrow finally be the day for his first win. I think it's his 50th attempt

    de Gea
    Valencia - Jones - Rojo - Darmian
    Herrera - Pogba
    Mkhitaryan - Mata - Rooney
    Ibrahimovic
It will probably be 4-2-3-1 instead of 4-3-3 with Carrick given a rest for this match and the one after.

You know how people have been saying "On another day this would have been 5 or 6", or "one of these days this United team will batter someone"...

Well today is the day. I've gone for 4-0 on score prediction but i want it to be more. I want to see Moyes crying in embarrassment when he gets back on that bus home.

Moyes would just blame Sunderland board for not fund his Cesc, Bale, Ronaldo, Kroos signings, so don't have your hope up

On route to Manchester for my first ever match at Old Trafford !!! Can't feckin wait!
Congrats! Seeing Old Trafford for the first time is a very special experience. I still remember the awe I felt. Savour it

    Sadist!
Though I wouldn't really mind seeing that myself...

If moyes manages a draw we wont hear the last of it, I wouldn't be able to watch his smug face in the post match interview.

Last time Mkhitaryan was rushed through injury, he was out for a further 2 months. So, I wouldn't want Mkhitaryan to be risked for this match. Boro would be much tougher to break down, so I would rest him for that match. Lingard played well last match and I wouldn't mind him starting.

Sunderland will play with a 4-4-2. Hence, there would be no need for an extra midfielder. I would rest Carrick for the Boro and West Ham matches.

Rooney in recent weeks has looked desperate to break SBC's record. So, i would start him too as he is looking hungry for goals.

    This would be my team:

    --------------Zlatan
    ---Martial----Rooney-----Lingard
    -----------Herrera--Pogba
    --Darmian--Rojo--Jones--Valencia
    -----------------De Gea

Not sure Sunderland will play 442. They played with 7 or 8 defenders against Chelsea, would expect the same here.

If their game plan at Anfield is anything to go by, you'll find it hard to break them down. Once you score a goal you should be sound for the rest of the game though.

Gonna be my usual doom and gloom self and suggest we'll waste a tonne of chances and end up drawing or conceding a really shockingly bad goal.
I'm with you. We can't drop points to this shower but I have a feeling we will somehow mess it up.

There isn't a chance in hell Sunderland nicks a draw. Anything under three goals for united should be seen as a disappointment.
A good old six nil battering would do it.

Little concerned about the weather here in Norway with regards to the game.
With the amount of snow coming down and wind expected later I wonder if the power will last through the match.

This must be the first time United are playing a team where I consider their left-back as the best attacking option they have. I don't have anything to back this up With but surely there can't be a left-back in the P.L who creates more chances than Van Aanholt. Every time I see highlights from a Sunderland-game he has a shot or 2 on goal.

Hope we smash his team and get Moyes to just shut up

Perhaps it would be clever to rest both Jones and Rojo today. They have played a lot and With Bailly going to the ANC - it could be smart to play him in the next 2 games as there will be a lot of games in january without him.

So start with Smalling and Bailly

They are managed by Moyes, I don't expect them to be adventurous. It will be their cup final.

So annoying that so many games are not televised on boxing day

No way, have a bit more respect for Defoe.

Excited for this, now. Under LVG I'd be expecting a tepid 1-0 win with 2 shots on target all game.

The closer it gets to kick-off, the more confident I am that this could be a landslide. I've gone for 3-0, but it could well be more, I just hope we don't perform in front of goal like the Burnley game.

Lingard will probably start ahead of Mhiki because the former had a great game previously, and the latter is still returning from injury.

But the meltdown that will ensue if it happens, will be priceless.

Any idea on the team news yet ?

This is the team I've predicted.

    DDG
    Valencia -- Jones -- Rojo -- Darmian
    Carrick
    Herrera -- Pogba
    Mkhitaryan -- Zlatan -- Martial
I hope Martial starts. This is the sort of team against whom, he can get into some form.
