Manchester United vs. Stoke City

Pardon my ignorance of Stoke but who are they going to have on that flank running at Smalling? You'd imagine they would target him as a possible vulnerability for us.

Have to laugh at the Caf, desperate for Kagawa to play again, but ... who the feck did you think he was going to displace exactly?

One day people might realise that they play in the same position...

Not really. If he's not playing well he won't start him. Good he's on the bench.

I think Moyes is starting to think he messed up with the Fellaini signing.

Yeah, I think he's beginning to realize how much he overrated him when he was at Everton. Not good enough for a top side like United, simple as that.

Why would they do that when Smalling is a natural defender and therefor, ya know, good at defending? Smalling being in there effects us going forward on the right flank, it shouldn't effect us defensively.

Nothing to say about the first 11 but it was more or less the same with Southampton :nervous: Hopefully the game will be wrapped up by the time substitutions will have to be made or that Moyes will not make the same mistakes.

He plays there on occasion but Smalling isn't natural to it, and as you say the forays forward won't be quite so dangerous on the left. An opposing manager is likely to try and apply some pressure to see what can be gained, no?

Stoke have half their team at 6 ft 4 - it doesn't hurt to use Smalling against their only real offensive threat

Probably our strongest front 4 and best midfield pairing. Shame Rafael is dropped but I guess the height factor makes sense.

We'd probably need to freshen things up slightly considering the intensity and pace at which we played against Sociedad.

---------------De Gea----------------
Smalling----Jones-----Evans------Evra
-----------Carrick---Cleverley--------
Nani----------Rooney-------Kagawa---
--------------RVP--------------------

My worry would be over Evra. He was up and down constantly against Sociadad and at his age he would tire. But who else can we put in against a physical stoke team?
Ahem..

Beastly lineup

I really, really hope that RVP, Rooney and Kagawa click. I fear if it doesn't Kagawa will be the one to be dropped.

Does anyone have any advice on how to make AceStream work? It never works for me.

I just want us to give Kagawa a 10 game run, then assess him after that. All this in and out business cannot help him.

a win today is more important than league position, well it is for me.

Consistency is the key.

Oh I know, but I checked the table and was hoping we could rise a position or two if we won today so it was a little disappointing to see us stranded in 8th.

Not really stranded obviously, but stuck there for a week maybe.

That's a nice little junket for that Japanese TV crew. Getting to travel to Old Trafford for every game to see Shinji.
