Manchester United vs Real Betis (Thu 1st August, 03:00 UK time)

Just watched it, think we looked good. I assume partly due to opposition, but Eriksen and Casemiro were fine in midfield, which left McT to do whatever it is he does (good off the ball stuff). The front 3 looked good, especially Amad and Sancho.

Back two of Maguire and Lindelof is just never nice to see, and as you'd expect led to one or two moments of confusion.

Otherwise solid. We played fully on the front foot, pressed really well and generally dominated (until a milion changes).

I don't like seeing Mct in for Mount who I think is better in every way, but other than that pretty encouraging.

That’s…..reaching to say the least, a player who did a lighter session before being put on the pitch in a pre season friendly meant to build up fitness is nowhere near being injured and ’rushed back’, especially when the injury wasn’t muscle related but a straight up fracture due to, you know, somebody stepping on his foot. Would his bone be sturdier if he did 100% of the training session?
There are posters on here that have decided that whatever negative happens at Utd, Ten Hag is responsible for it. There is no real use in discussing with them using facts and common sense considering their whole approach is to twist reality to fit a pre-existing bias.

It’s fairly common at MLS stadiums. It’s very cool from a fan fun and convenience perspective but it does thin out the crowd in the seats.
For the new stadium, I don't mind it if the club sell separate standing room tickets for those who are fine with hanging out at the bar areas during the match, but not for those already with seats.

How bad did Rashford injury look?

Defender caught him on the ankle/foot, was a nasty tackle that should've been a penalty but wasn't given.

Not surprising he came off. Hopefully just an impact injury with some swelling rather than a long term thing.

There are also posters on here who believe ten Hag can do no wrong, even if he got us relegated.

Watched the highlights and it looked like another good performance from the 1st team.

Quality Control - Repetitive Negativity

Remember, every injury is the physio's fault (despite United changing their medical staff!). Or is it McClaren's fault, or maybe van der Gaag. Ineos changing the whole staff just to shoehorn in an underwhelming manager.

  a new cafe meme is born I think!
While he can't be blamed for impact injuries, the guy has been in pure survival mode for a good while now.

He runs his main players into the ground resulting in frequent injuries. He then rushes them back from injury again resulting in more injuries.

You say all of that as though injury crises are a brand new phenomenon at Manchester United that only started since Ten Haag took over. I’m old enough to remember Carrick playing as a centre back. Do we blame Ten Haag for that too?

Injuries strike again.... first we blame the intense training , then the coaching staff, then the medical department, now the injury prone players.
Something has to give.

Can someone delete this Mickson moron. Trying to read about the Real Betis game and there's just pages of him blaming ETH for someone standing on someone's foot in a different game

Watch the Rashford injury back in super slow motion. You can clearly see ten Hag throw an iron bar onto the pitch that boomerangs back into Rashford's shin. #tenhagout

You can put him on ignore but agreed some posters are very annoying with their agendas

Once again the officiating was poor. But do mang positives. Cas looked good - has he lost some weight? Amass is still learning but shows immense promise - have no fear, he's a star in the future. Our pressing was excellent but bit worried about our defence centrally. Maguire is a wonderful header of the ball but is slow on the turn. Collyer and Mount were the pick of the 'reserve' XI. Antony again pretty poor.

Very good 1st half. Okayish 2nd half. Hope the injuries aren’t too bad. We could do with a bit of luck for once in that department

My point was always that EtH's training methods and overplaying of players are causing injuries. Yoro didn't train properly and got injured. It may be so that it's bad luck, but it's a theme with Ten Hag. It's not the first time, it's not the last time.
Oh FFS! I bet world hunger is his fault too?

Its best to not read too much in to what happens in pre-season friendlies as they rarely are any indication of what will happen in the regular season, I remember us looking good while winning 6 out of 6 in LVG's first pre-season only to start the regular season with a 2-1 home defeat to Swansea followed by a 1-1 draw away to Sunderland and a 0-0 draw away to Burnley.

The injuries weve picked up are concerning but I dont think anyone could have predicted that Rashford would get his ankle stamped on or that Hojlund would get his foot broken.

On here ETH is been blamed

So they’ve had the training and now Yoro has a fracture, still confused how this is ETH’s fault? Plenty of other coaches leading training, maybe this is Ruuds fault? Or maybe as most people think you are just talking shite.
