Manchester United vs Olympique Lyonnais (Wed 19th July, 14:00 UK time)

This is like watching Ole ball, they're beating the press so easily

Not much between him and Hannibal so far, starting to become obvious a defensive midfielder should've been a priority (as predicted).
Glaringly obvious at the 20 minutes mark of the second game of preseason?

The feck is the difference? We either have no depth for Casemiro or no depth for Bruno.
Amad, Mainoo and Hannibal can play the offensive 8/10 role, along with Eriksen. No one can play Casemiro's role though, that was evident before the window opened.

I know it's inevitable and happens every year, but it's still a bit annoying seeing people read so much into preseason friendlies

One thing about Mount. There have been a few times when he has received the ball while under pressure and has handled it quite well. That press resistance can become very important for us.

Any opportunity to be miserable!
I don't think people are making snap judgements, they are commenting on the available data (60 mins of pre season), nobody is making outlandish long term claims though, we should be able to say he hasn't impressed without writing off his career?

Thought we were really good in first 15 mins but quality has dipped since then imo

I know Alvaro has a lot of hype but to be honest, he does look like a reserve team player playing among the first team... Which is usually a sign that they aren't ready for the level. Anyway he'll get a loan which will be good for his development, given that we have Malacia, Shaw, and dalot can fill in.

Striker situation must be resolved as soon as possible. Don't care about preseason performances, but that much is clear.

No matter how well he played a loan was always very likely considering the competition in his position

Martinez just beating the whole press on his own with one turn.
