Looking forward to checking out my groceries in a barcode shirt with Phil Jones at till number 4.
give over, he'd slip and get injured as he sat in the chair! to be fair to the guy: others have done great impressions of him this season...

Luckily I’m busy today, sun is shining, bbq beers etc , they won’t ruin today for me

I mean, Norwich are rock-bottom of the table with no chance is escaping their fate.

They have nothing to play for, we have a slight chance of finishing top four. Surely that means we win the game by many goals to nil - like four or something. Right? Right.

follow this man’s example. Don’t ruin a sunny Saturday. Enjoy yourself.

Indeed. Don't know if it is on TV, but getting out in the fresh air and warm weather is much better for my health.

Excited for this. We'll see one or both of Mejbri or Garnacho I'm hoping.

It doesn't sound like Hannibal or Garnacho will be getting a chance today

Ralf Rangnick has moved to curb the excitement surrounding Alejandro Garnacho and Hannibal's inclusion in today's matchday squad by saying it isn't the right time for them to be playing at the moment.

“It’s always about playing the strongest available team because they are not friendly games and I don’t think we would do some of the youngsters a favour if we bring them in at the wrong moment. I love to play young players but in a moment when the team is performing well and playing with confidence. Then it could be the right moment to give young players game-time, but not in a situation like we’re in right now.”

So let's keep playing the same players that have got us into the mess...

I can see where he is coming from, fans however are selfish and we are all sulking and want to see these kids if it is the right thing for their development or not. If we either drop out of the European places or a place is secured we might see them. Also he might feel it is the new managers place to decide which kids should get a chance and hopefully we will see a few go on the pre-season tour. In fact if a lot leave, they might be the majority of the squad.

I had a dream last night and there was only a sprinkle of people in the stands for the match and thousands outside in protest.
Rashford played from the start and barely ran and was hooked after half an hour.
United were awful. Only Sancho was decent and the rest were the usual static toiling load of shit. Bruno was whining like feck and then Pukki scored leaving Maguire on his arse. I woke then thankfully :wenger:

It was probably a Nostradamus moment rather than a dream mate. I can see the match today playing out almost exactly like that.

I dunno what RR problem is, just give youth a chance, our senior players have messed up more than enough already this season, I mean, what's RR worried about? He won't get sacked this close to the end of the season & he won't be the manager next season anyway, what's he got to lose by blooding some youth players?

I know, people will say, "oh, but he must get European football for next season", pah! It's CL or nowt in my eyes & that's looking beyond difficult.

As apposed to just sticking with the ones who play like they couldn't give a shit and stroll about the pitch?

At least they would provide energy/enthusiasm. If you're good enough, you're old enough...

He's worried about putting young players with potential on and seeing them get rolled over by established pros with the end result being that their potential goes up in smoke.

this is by far the worst team in the Premier League at the moment, so should be an easy win.

On the other hand, Norwich aren't in great form either.

He’s right, you bring young players into a team that’s already playing well

Cannot see why people are having a problem with this. Let the new manager take a look at the pre-season and if some of them show good promise then integrate them into the match day squad. If Europe is out of the question in the next few games, then let them have a runout at end of season when there is no pressure on them.

The atmosphere is toxic. It’s not good for throwing young players in.

Sane fella. I'm off to a bbq so going to enjoy my Saturday. I'm not even going to bother checking up on this game. They've ruined enough Saturdays and I've checked out for this season.

Agree, the fans are restless, there is a protest today, why parachute a couple of kids into that sort of atmosphere? If they struggle they will just become a target, especially on social media for that toxicity.

Elanga was lucky to come in when we had some new manager positivity. Now there’s none of any of that so it just isn’t worth it for the however many games left. Let Ten Haag bring through whoever he fancies next season
