Manchester United vs Liverpool (Sun 4th August, 00:30 UK time)

Onana hasn't be our biggest issue, but I can see us looking for a replacement next summer. Isn't cut out for being a no.1.

Onana was a ridiculous acquisition, but we’re stuck with him for a while. Beth creamed herself that Onana would transform the way we play football, so we bought him.

Salah offside on the goal, do these American officials actually know the offside rule because one of Arsenal's against us was blatently offside as well.

Onana is one of the worst goalkeeper for United

I don't mind the loss as I understand it's preseason but that'd Onana all over. He's been palming things back in to open play since we bought him. Can't trust him. Fully expect more bigger howlers next season.
The ball is hit low with pace from 7 yards out..

How can he do anything but spill it? Please don't tell me you think he should hold it?

Look how happy they are

Sloppy from us, Onana and AWB mainly I think, but the defense was cut upon before. That being said, we've been so shite in front of goal but had the majority of the chances despite not really putting in a performance.

Amass is growing into the game and this will actually be great experience for him. We've got a tired Casemiro and McTominay and Collyer in the middle, both of whom do not want the ball. Eriksen for Casemiro I think, to give balance to the rest of the team.

I’d take Rabiot over McTominay any day.
I agree. I don’t want any name-calling, bile or any negative sentiment against Scott, he just isn’t a good enough player to be at the club. We need better footballers.

It's quite unbelievable we haven't scored in this game. We've had far more chances than Liverpool and are 3-0 down.

That Liverpool No.2 GK looks pretty solid. Very impressed with him. He's one of the main reasons we haven't been able to score.

Plenty of time for Liverpool to net a couple more.
We’ll be lucky to get one at this rate.

There wasn't that much pace on the ball, and keepers will be training to catch those types of shots from close range their entire careers.

The problem is that Onana catches nothing.

How have we played? The stats look like we're doing alright, but 0-3 down...

Just score for fecks sake. Why is our finishing so bad?

Its hard to have any confidence in him. But as you say, we're stuck with him since ETH chose the likes of him and Antony as hills to die on.

How haven't we scored

Under Fergie we were never very good in the preseason but started the season well...so there's hope.
Not always, both in our Treble and Double winning season, we've started poorly, however we'd turn it up around late November and finish very strongly.

Not sure if it’s him or ETH but the fact that we bought an elite ball playing GK just to have him hoof it the majority of the time is fecking maddening to me

One of the biggest frustrations for me. Just don't get it. Not even sure whose fault it is. Personally can't wait to see the end of Onana.

It's actually been a positive performance, we are creating lots of chances and the press and shape are much better than usual. Still shaky on the transition.

Harry Amass has lots of ability but needs work on his positioning, he's not ready yet off the ball. Collyer is a good edition to the squad, I think he could replace Scott Mctominay.

You can see why Ten Hag wants Ugarte. He'd do very well in a system like this.

Just people piling on from last season. Anyone that thinks he should have held that from 7 yards is a idiot

I’m more that convinced we will finish above this this season

I don't think they are anything special. But bear in mind they have more than half a team missing. With key players fit I would fancy us finishing above them too.

I don't think there is anything elite in his ball playing. He is little better than De Gea in that aspect, that's it.
