Manchester United Vs Leeds United

Shows how we need either Carrick or Fletcher in the centre of midfield. They are the ones who win the ball immidiately after an attack of ours breaks down and put the ball back in.

Essentially our midfield is non existant.

Also, can someone tell me why I can hear only Leeds supporters on TV? Mic positioning or is it that they have been outsinging our fans?

Anderson may have had some shit shots but at least he is getting on the ball, what the feck is Gibson doing there? Ando can't play there by himself.

Obertan and Welbeck are both losing the physical battles, they have actual had some nice moments- however these nice moments don't win football matches.

Neville has been awful, Brown looks unprepared, Evans looks like he has just come back from injury!

Once again we are depending on Rooney stepping up and winning the game

I don't know. Maybe he was going to push forward. He was poor. It doesn't really change the fact though that Brown initially misjudged the ball (which was good) and then did not push Beckford out wide enough and then fail to put in a challenge until it was too late. Pig should be sweeping up in those situations though.

It was all United fans until Leeds scored, and since then I've been hearing 50/50 to be honest.
 
Well that was pretty shit, Rooney is the only one who came out with any credit in that half. Leeds should be 2-0 up at least.

Been here 2 and a half seasons now. This is league one Leeds FFS!!!
 
Can we get Rafael on? He can't be a shit as Gary's been the whole match. He has pace and can't be any more out of position than Neville has been.

Good point. Brown failed to do what he's good at - being physical. I would say Ferdinand and Vidic, even Evans back there, would have done a better job but of late (i.e. this season) all of the defenders have been guilty of mistakes.

What's sad is the play made Beckford look a class striker. Reminiscent of how our back four would sometimes make Phillips look top class when he was very average.
 
We're going to win this game...but fecks sake, do we have to make things difficult for ourselves?
 
Rooney's been brilliant, considering he's playing upfront on his own.
 
lot of underperformers. havnt caused nearly enough problems for them. but we are man utd. and we will be better in the next half.

Obertan and Gibson actually are helping Leeds more than us. At least Welbeck is posing some kind of threat.

Yea, it made Beckford look much better than he is. I doubt that goal would have happened with Rio or Vidic playing to be honest, or Van Der Sar.

But anyway, second half to come via the hairdryer. things should be different.

He is been ok, Beroberbeck have been a shambles. All lethargic in their approach and don't seem to know what they are doing. Need to step it up big time in the second half.

Anderson has won the ball well tbf, he has given back quite easily to be more than fair though. Gibson has been shit since his 2nd minute laser fizzed wide

gotta he honest noodle. I've got nothing against welbeck and hope hes a great player for us. but I never really see what everyone else sees in the lad.

good analysis.

Gibson needs to be replaced and so does Wellbeck.
 
To be honest you can tell by the way we are playing that the players brought in as changes to the last team we put out against Wigan aren't up to speed yet. Midfield isn't performing yet and it is putting pressure onto the defence due to lack of protection and if it keeps going i can see Carrick coming on during the 2nd half. We are disjointed all over the park so far and Leeds have taken advantage with the goal.

Hopefully the hair dryer comes into effect during the half time to wake a lot of our players up, as some of them need to improve in the 2nd half or it could get worse for us out there.
 
I can guarentee the second half will be harder for us than the first was for you.

True. In the last ten minutes though, he was very poor.

I think Fabio has been doing well when he's had a chance.
