Manchester United vs Inter Milan (Sat 20th July, 12:30 UK time)

Axdelof is interesting. Tuanzebe is the best ball playing defender in the squad so I wonder if Ole has this duo in mind as a starting pair in the absence of Maguire.

Complete fallacy that he was good. He literally had a few good months before turning to utter shit. It wasn’t surprising as his form for Chelsea had fallen off a cliff.
Nah, now you are going too far the other way. He didn't turn to 'utter shit' straight after that good period. His form that season was actually an amazingly consistent slow but steady fall. Started very well. A couple of months later he was down to fairly good. A bit later he was down to average. Then down to poor, and it was only towards the end of the season that I'd say he was 'shit'. Of course he was absolutely terrible almost all of last season.

He really did turn to utter shit. Take a look at his thread from that session. His form literally reverted back to how he was playing for Chelsea. Awful shortsighted signing.

Because by their perception theres no one better but Southgate is starting to see that Lingard aint all that.
You've not answered the question.

What do they see in Lingard?

If you're not able to answer that, you're not in any position to judge him as a player because it means that you're missing something.

It's fair enough if you can see it, but think he doesn't offer enough of it to displace a player like Sancho for England. But Lingard is still a very good player in his own right

Stop being fecking selfish, Rashford. There's something called passing.

Interesting to see Rashford on the let and Martial through the centre. Unexpected. Although they may have swapped now, so they may interchange constantly.

Towards the end of the season, yes. But he was still decent (no more than that though) by the turn of the year.
