Manchester United vs Inter Milan (Sat 20th July, 12:30 UK time)

Can’t fault the effort and ideas. Quality is just lacking a little. That’s all you can ask for from the manager at this stage.

I still see James as on the same level as Chong, Gomes and Greenwood. If they establish themselves this season it's a bonus but it shouldn't be expected.

Not very impressed by James here. Wasn't involved until last couple mins and then puts in a poor cross and misses with a terrible shot in the space of 30 seconds

Also brilliant run by Lindelof
Nout wrong with the cross, was straight across the face of goal but we had no one attacking it.

It's a game where you can just tell our best front line won't score for 60 minutes. The young guns come on and put 2 or 3 past them.

AWB looks like a quality purchase. James has wasted a couple of chances but has played in a couple of good crosses but I guess it will take the team a while to get used to ball coming in from the right!

Too many quick to judge James. He’s trying too hard that’s for sure but he’s not hiding

Daniel james has good pressing and speed but he lacks quality.
If he had quality on the ball we would not have signed him for 18m, rather 90m. He is one for the future, noone expects him to be ready for PL football for a top side this August. I guess Ole wants to see how him and Tuanzebe play in a good starting lineup against quality opposition.

Good link up between Martial and Lingard. Martial should do better with the finish
