Barclays Premier League
Old Trafford
KO: 2000 BST

Chelsea play 3 games before they play us next Monday (18th, 21st + 23rd).

Excellent.

De gea
Jones Ferdinand Vidic evra
Valencia Carrick Anderson Welbeck
Rooney van Persie

Kagawa for Rooney if Rooney is gone but then. Anderson should start after cleverley disappointed today. Well be a tough game, but we're at home so we should look to win it. Van Persie of course to score.

Massive fail. They play 2. And getting more games under your belt is an advantage at this stage.

Kagawa for Rooney if Rooney is gone but then, or kagawa for nani if he isn't fit in time. Anderson should start after cleverley disappointed today. Well be a tough game, but we're at home so we should look to win it. Van Persie of course to score.

Drop Welbeck? :wenger:

de Gea
Rafael Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Carrick Cleverley
Valencia Rooney Welbeck
van Persie

Lindegaard; Jones, Smalling; Anderson, Giggs, Kagawa, Zaha

See no reason to change too much from that game. If we can play Ferdinand and Vidic together again, fantastic. I see no reason why not given the number of days between the games. They looked as good as ever today, so it'd be a shame to break it up for no reason when fitness shouldn't be an issue. I'd rather not see Jones at Right Back, but Rafael could still be injured. Maybe give Fabio a crack, but if needs must then Jones starting again it is. Cleverley's position may be under threat from Anderson, but I'd still start him. I think Rooney's minutes today and for England were to get him fit for this game. Even a rusty Rooney comes up with two assists and some decent play which speaks volumes. Giggs was good today but I'd like him to be the impact sub for Chelsea. There's no reason to change anything else at all IMO, Valencia, Welbeck, Evra, and van Persie all had excellent games, while Carrick and de Gea were good as well.

More confident going into this one now, should be a good game, Fancy us to at least avoid defeat, hopefully play well again and win.

As for my expected line-up, the only weakness is maybe no striker on the bench... But potential game changers in Giggs, Kagawa, Zaha, and even Anderson is a big positive. However, if Hernandez and Nani are fit, I'd like to see them involved somehow.

Bring on the chavs.
Rooney will start this game and in red. 2-1 to United. Rooney in for Giggs and if sealed in time, Fellaini for Cleverley.

1-3 to us, Mata to inspire another OT win with Hazard and Lukaku geting the others, and RVP with one.

Ah I thought their Super Cup game was this Friday for some reason. No idea why as that makes no sense whatsoever.

Looking forward to this one even more now.

Probably go with the same team as today, with maybe Giggs dropping out for one of Kagawa or Rooney!

That'd be a tester playing Rooney.

Rafael------Rio-------Vidic------Evra

Nani-------Clev----Carrick----Welbeck

---------Rooney----RvP---------------

I'm going to this. Excited as feck, especially after the performance today. 3-1 win.

----Rafael - Rio - Vidic - Evra-
-----Carrick--Fellaini----------
-Valencia----Kagawa --welbeck
------------RVP---------------

I'm predicting us to sign two players before that match.

What I hope to see on the match:

De Gea

Fabio Ferdinand Vidic Evra

Carrick Anderson

Valencia Rooney/Kagawa Welbeck

Van Persie

I hope that we finish the Jones experiment as a right back. He doesn't offer anything offensively and I think that we need a good combo on that side of the pitch. Rafael did brilliantly last season and Fabio is the closest thing to a Rafael. Chicha would have been nice for this game - knowing his tendancy to score against them - but I don't expect that he'll be match fit. If Nani returns, I hope he starts on Valencia's place.

I expect us to win this game, which will be a massive shock to media and their absolute favorites with the precious Mourinho.

DDG
Fabio Ferdinand Vidic Evra
Carrick Cleverley
Valencia Kagawa Welbeck
RVP
-Rooney, Hernandez and Zaha all on the bench as potential impact subs.
-Nani for Valencia if he's fit and match-ready.

---------- DDG --------
-Jones -Rio - Vidic - Evra
--- Carrick - Cleverley --
Zaha - Kagawa - Ronaldo
--------- RVP ----------

Shame we have to wait over a week for our next game. Now that football is back I want our games to come thick and fast, not wait for a Monday night game.

You're gunna be pissed at the internation break in 3 weeks then :(

Even if that were true, playing more games at this stage is actually an advantage.

I wish we played Villa midweek..

It's not true. They don't play on the 23rd. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Rooney in for Giggs(Can he start against Chelsea, is that possible? Or is it too complicated cause of his situation and chelsea's interest?)
Fabio in for Jones
Nani in for Valencia
Hard luck for Kagawa with Welbeck in good form.

Of course he can start against Chelsea. I just hope he doesn't pull out with mysterious injury.

Very hard to predict a couple of positions IMO. We have so many attacking players who are capable of doing a job, but I think Moyes will give Shinji the nod this time ahead of Valencia. Welbeck and obviously RVP are guaranteed to start.

De Gea
Rafael - Ferdinand - Vidic (c) - Evra
Carrick - Cleverley
Kagawa
Rooney - RVP - Welbeck

Very fluid front four, width coming from both full-backs. Wouldn't be surprised to see Valencia start in place of Kagawa though, making it a more 'traditional' 4-4-2.

Although if Nani is ready to go then perhaps he starts ahead of Valencia.

Rafael is injured and I don't like that front 4. Other than that it's great....

Like most I'd play the same team as yesterday with Rooney in for Giggs

It would be fantastic to have another option in CM for this game

I wouldn't be surprised to see Jones added to Cleverley and Carrick to help out with Chelsea's tricky trio. Front 3 of RvP, Welbeck and Valencia I guess.
