I was initially annoyed that Hojlund was on the bench, but there's a lot of factors there. There are obviously fitness issues there, he's young, and he's still new to the league. To add to that, he's not really hitting any heights either, especially in the league. We're clearly a striker short. If we had a more experienced and better quality player up top, Hojlund would be the understudy. He's not the main man, quite a long way off that, imo.

However, if there ever was a game that would be great for him to get a goal, it would be this one.

We will see. The energy last game mainly came from the height of Garnacho - Bruno - McT - Antony. No reason that can’t happen again with or without Hojlund.

Did you see the difference in pressure our defence encountered when Hojlund was replaced by Rashford. Suddenly Chelsea could pass out and exert pressure on our backline, something they had barely done that 2nd half.

The team must press as a unit, if one is not covering his man, that man becomes an easy outlet for the opponent and then they get to pass their way out of trouble.

There’s every reason that may not happen. To be a fluid energetic team you need all the players including all the front 4 to be on the same wave length. Hojlund offers us movement and energy.

I've not been happy with Hojlund's performances recently so I can see why ETH brought Martial in. He needs to work much harder than that last game though. That was unacceptable. We still don't have any reliable striker imo. Hopefully we address that in Jan. Expecting a tough game. Bournemouth are one of the most in form teams in the league
