All the people saying they don't care about this result. Do you think being stuffed 1-3 at our own turf won't take the wind out of our sails and that the players wont go into the weekend feeling humiliated?

No. If anything, they will be more up for the game this weekend.

Two shite performances in Europe at home in a row, we either think we can saunter through to the final with zero effort or don't give a flying feck about this competition. I don't know what it is yet.

That's the worrying thing, that some think they are better than they are and just have to turn up. Complete lack of respect.

"Puh dah ha, vuh va der sor Rooney, wah der suh fuh huh duh huh, rah ma fud".

......................

"Thanks Pat, That was Pat Nevin, reporting from a cloak room under the tea room."

I hope we don't play our first teamers in the 2nd leg. We have Wolves away just a few days after Bilbao which is far more important.

I don't care about the tournament.

Never like to see us lose.

Different things.

Blaming Rafael for that rofl.....I have always wanted to see an unsportsmanship goal like that though, thankfully it happened in this tourney.
Err.. He was walking back towards the ball and just let the attacker get there ahead of him despite being ten yards further away from the ball once De Gea had saved it..

Two CBs challenging for the same ball and a half-asleep RB cost us that one....
Half-asleep? That was fecking comatose..

pathethic - only de Gea and Jones did well - the rest of the them (esp Jones, Hernandez, Young and last but not least Ferguson) deserve a lot of crap
So, did Jones do well or badly? ;)

Its the rules. You need proper equipment to play.
But if you're going to enforce the rule, surely you should enforce the entire rule and not just a certain part of it? For example, players playing with their socks below their shinpads and players who don't have their shirts tucked in are breaching the same rule, but you rarely see that enforced. So if you're going to enforce the rule half-arsedly then he should've told them to kick it back to us.

Oh, and how the linesman missed that offside is beyond me.. He saw the ball and player at the same time and didn't have anyone obstructing his view.. fecking joke of a decision, and one worthy of punishing that joke of a performance from us tonight.

What a gutless performance, no passion or leadership on the field. Keane would have been going wild at the defenders.

Raphael absolute master class in ''how not to defend''. Abysmal.

Ferguson should have seen that even in the first half and brought Ferdinand on in the middle with Evans.

What's happened to Jones, he doesn't look like the ''wonder player'' he was when he first arrived.

Rooney was passing like my mum in her slippers! Actually that's not fair on my mum.

Complete shoddy performance, which deserved to be booed off. :(

Played off the park by a team that's only 5th in their league.

Embarassing!!! :nono:

poor officiating for sure but we were overwhemed in midfield.

Shows how much we depend on a plyer who changed his mind about retirement.

Bloody ell.

I agree. The officials made some bad calls but United we over run in midfield.
The shoe call was wrong. I looked it up.

Don't mind them Weaste, they are either idiots or emotional idiots. What's the TV saying in Spain about the game?

This club is never an embarrassment to anything! If you want to be an embarrassment of a supporter, then carry on. You don't use that word to describe this football club!

I'm not talking about the ''football club'' I'm talking about the lazy, passionless performance by certain players.

Who was it that embarrassed you my delicate flower?

What does this mean anyway? It's a word that is being thrown about quite a lot.

Maybe the team had the wrong balance from the off but nobody wasn't trying or cares less than you or any or the other righteosly indignant on here tonight.

We were outplayed, which happens, if it is not possible to happen then it's dull. It augurs well for football that the elite can be challenged by progressive second tier teams. Without this possibility the game is shite.

Given the passion that Gary Neville always showed when he played right back, I'm sure he found that performance by Raphael a complete embarrassment.

If he felt that Rafael wasn't trying as opposed to having a mare, then he'd be more likely to be annoyed surely?

arent we forgetting that we have a lot of injured players? and that despite that we are still in the run for the PL?

with that in mind what can we expect? to win the trebble?

get real

Isn't our injury list easing now? Vidic and Fletcher are the only long term absentees. We have missed Valencia though in recent matches, he was in such great form. I think he should be back for next week.

Where was Berbatov tonight?

Did you see this on twitter: Carrick: "Their (third) goal was a strange one. The referee had told us they were kicking it back to us, so we stopped and they scored."

Weird!

That's mad if true and not just crossed wires.

Did we play that well in the champions league either at home?

That was the wrong call. I wonder if the ref acknowledges it so that the same mistake is made all over the world.

What a fecking laugh. There's a lot of things said about Rafael, but you can't say he isn't passionate. He busts a gut up and down the pith, gets pissed off if he does something wrong, wins headers against people a lot bugger than him, he's the only player that I know will tackle hard and take the man and the ball. The lad gives his all every time he plays and has been very good recently, so you can feck off with this shite.
