Manchester United vs Athletic Bilbao (Sun 6th August, 16:00 UK time)

I don't mind the cheers for Herrera but it's odd to cheer him and boo Maguire

Ander should’ve had two assists in the CL final. Who are these commentators

Dan Gore has had a good game

They are still embarrassing themselves further these commentators. Maybe get trained or something.

I wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of Erik if they don't at least tie this.
This is just showing him who he can count on as squad options for this season and who he can't. Although I'd say he had a fair idea already.

Friendly or not these United players are playing for a chance to be in EtH plans and they are having their opportunities to shine taken away by typically cynical Spanish bullshit.
Ten Hag has seen these players enough to know what they're all about by now. A single preseason game isn't going to launch any of them into the starting lineup. Think he'd happily sell any of them if an acceptable offer was made

Not sure why Forson is getting so much game time. Haven't seen anything really from

At least now we have a striker on.
Forson, not enough foresight
I don't understand the Evans thing, he's done at this level.
Don’t know why we didn’t take a 3-5 million gamble on some young CB from Spain or South America

Rumoured to have signed a 1 year deal.
Isn't he also something to do with the academy kids too?

Another blow to the ex captain that he doesn't even get a mentoring role with the kids - he just keeps having ignominy heaped on him. You really have to be a thick twunt not to cotton on that you might not be wanted :)

Bizarre people still say “he’s a much better footballer than this” instead of just accepting he isn’t.
So you don't believe that the mental pressure of playing for United can affect a player e.g. causing him to make more errors? And that the fact that he's become a walking meme could be affecting his play?

And you don't think that he plays better for England and played better for Burnley and Leicester? It's not as if he lost all his physical attributes once he joined United.

The state of these Spanish sides - screams like he’s been shot and then gets up like it’s nothing once he sees that he isn’t getting anything out of it.

It’s a friendly. These lot have a few things to learn from Pellistri.

To be fair to Maguire, none of us would leave a job for less money. He's on 200k and unless United want to subsidise his wages he won't leave this year.

He was better when he first came into the club. Needs to leave as the pressure has clearly crushed him. He doesn't really suit the team anyway but he looks a shadow of the player from Leicester.

Herrera was one of our more underappreciated players. Ten Hag would have loved him.

Literally any time one of our players shows a bit of talent they get hacked down, feck Spanish clubs

I‘m guessing it’s Ben Thornley who thinks Van Persie and Ronaldo were scoring for United in 2010?
