  • Keane making it about himself again, you’d think with everything he’s achieved he wouldn’t be so insecure.

    Hojlund going through the motions clapping the crowd. Not even looking. A bit like his performance on the pitch at the moment

    I'm very proud of that second half. We fought and didn't stop.

    Aiden bloody Heaven too.

    Raya was lucky.
    We were unlucky too today.
    Heaven was good maybe even better than Yoro.

    Should have won it in the end. Well done Amorim. All praise Bruno! One of these days he’ll be surrounded by better players and all his detractors will have to eat their words.

    Good result and performance ultimately. Should have won that today. Shame, but better than I thought we'd do looking at the first 11 and bench.

    Shout-out to Heaven. He needs to play more.
    he and yoro, de light and lindelof were all good today. don't think the CBs put a foot wrong defensively

    The problem is, Hojlund doesn't even make the shot because he gets beaten to the ball. Both chances he had tonight didn't even result in a shot because he takes ages to do anything.
    agreed - he is totally lacking in confidence. nonetheless, he'd be taking all kinds of shit here if he had missed that... in fact, at least one person here blaming him for not following it in which he did!

    Dalot with the Fetch that cnut technique
    @T00lsh3d
    This is the reason we are where we are. If we weren't so shit at finishing we'd be much, much higher up the table
    That’s irrefutable, like saying to win games we need to score more than our opponents, a Michael Owen classic.
    Also don't like Onana having friendly chat at the end with the opposition
    To be fair, it was only Raheem. Onana probably thought he was the ball boy.

    We need an athletic no.10 to compliment Bruno, an athletic and pacy RWB and a clinical striker to turn things around. Amorim’s tactics could work but lots of recruitment needed.

    There's a difference between being brave and stupid. The objective is to develop the kids for them to be important to the team. Not just playing them for the sake of it.

    Playing then when they're not ready or in poor circumstances is not brave, it's stupid.

    Did you see how Collyer and Heaven played?

    I always understood it to just mean dope (like guy in blazing saddles), googled the historical reference and didn’t know it had a different connection. Will Edited so not to offend.
    It’s also something that has been around in skateboarding culture for decades. You can’t imagine how difficult it was to stop using it!

    It was someone else quoting you this time. It’s a Caf Classic now.
    Honestly, it brings a tear to my eye…

    Every time he hammers a cross into outer space, I like to think there’s cafites everywhere saying, “fetch that then cnut” under their breath

    Also don't like Onana having friendly chat at the end with the opposition

    Why not he’s another United player smiling because his contract is basically a lottery win. Sick of nearly all of them.

    Fair. But it’s still suicidal to chuck in youngsters against Arsenal where they are more than capable of scoring 5+ goals. The hate he would get would be unbearable. If anything he’ll go strong to start with and then take players of in the 2nd half when we’re probably already losing. Imagine if he did what people are saying he should and rotate today with youngsters playing and then we get beat on Thursday anyway… it would all be for nothing.
    Agreed, I don’t want to see us giving up games before even starting.
    Turns out we weren’t as bad as we have been, hopefully we can translate this into something meaningful on Thursday.

    It’s also something that has been around in skateboarding culture for decades. You can’t imagine how difficult it was to stop using it!
    Totally , I always used it to mean dope, like a couple of affectionate steps down from calling somebody a thick nut.

    My mum used to call us “little faggots” when we annoyed her. I took it to mean “little fecker” and I sometimes nearly say it to my children when they are annoying or being dicks!

    Strangely, I'm content with z point. In fact, but for 2 great saves by Raya and two outstanding cover tackles, ee might have eon that. Rice's strike was as good as Brunos. So all in all, not bad

    They did a good job, it only reinforces my point about the timing to do it. If using them as subs works, it means it's right or not?

    We won't know if they would have done fine starting too but my point is we need more of them to get more game time to improve our squad depth. I think Chido should have gotten 30 mins too.

    At least couple of them got some game time.

    Agree with Chido, he can't do worst than Hojlund should have got minutes today

    Ruben has nothing to lose now blooding more of the youth, we either finish on 43-44 points which is a point per game or he starts to improve the attacking intent and bloods a few kids who come through and we make the magic 50 points which milestone!

    Aiden Heaven has probably taking his chance as a full squad member next season, we need to find three to four more?

    Some players have played themselves out of a man United career next season, I’m guessing these are the ones;

    1. A Onana
    2. M Rashford
    3. J Sancho
    4. R Hojlund
    5. T Malacia
    6. Antony

    Some will just see their contract expire ;

    1. C Eriksen
    2. T Heaton
    3. J Evan’s
    4. V Lindelof

    Some are on trial ;

    1. J Zirkzee
    2. A Garnaucho
    3. M Mount
    4. A Bayinder

    Some we would like to sell but can’t ;
    1. Casemiro
    2. L Shaw

    That’s a lot of players and I can easily see 10 to 11 leaving in the summer so if we only bring in 5 or 6 we need 3 or 4 from the youth set up to come through., now’s a perfect time to try as many as he can to see who can step up.

    There won’t be 10/11 leaving in the summer

    There won’t be 10/11 leaving in the summer
    There’s 5 definitely already ;

    J Sancho, T Heaton, J Evan’s, V Lindelof and C Eriksen contract expire or they’ve been sold already!

    Then you pretty much expect at least 5 of the following to be sold or loaned ;

    A Bayinder, T Malacia, Casemiro, Rashford, Antony, Mount, K Mainoo, A Garnaucho, R Hojlund, L Shaw, J Zirkzee.

    Some of that list are playing for their futures and I can easily see 5 loaned or Sold

    That makes 10 my friend so get ready we are having a much needed reset this summer?

    5 leaving the club permanently so and possible 3/4 loans (Rashford , Antony , Malacia ) at the moment I can’t see Villa signing Rashford

    Shaw , Casemiro and Mount are going nowhere for obvious reasons. Zirkzee just arrived and out of the rest and we still need Rasmus as back up if we sign a striker .

    Proud today!

    How to say your standards have dropped without actually saying "my standards have dropped"

    You missed out Onana.

    Given everything that conspired against us going into the match yesterday (Glazer ownership, sabotage by ETH, fumbling by Sir Jim, and the crazy injury crisis) we were outstanding yesterday.

    And before anyone wheels out "standards have dropped" one has to take into account the context of this match. We are nowhere near good enough, but here we are and we put a fork in the back of the second place club in the PL. Yes, we have a long way to go before returning to respectability but just taking yesterday's game alone, job effing well done.

    If you listened to sir Jim’s interview today, he’s pretty much confirms that top players who are paid top wages and they are not contributing to the club on the field will be moved on, he has no other option as he explained today, if the club bought no players and stood still, due to our legacy transfer debt, the club would still owe £90m and if he did not make the necessary cut backs the club might be bankrupt by Xmas 2025, so rest assured we are having a mass sell off wouldn’t surprise me if Garnacho or Mainoo, , Sancho, Rashford, Antony and Hojlund all got sold, maybe even Dalot if someone offer the right money!

    There is a reason INEOS briefed the media in January that every Man United player bar a few are available for sale.

    You look at a player like Onana and after this year, his amortised cost would still be £28.4m as he has 3 years left on his contract, so selling him for £20m means the club makes a loss of £8.4m however his wages are quite high for a GK on £6.5m per year, the club would still owe £19.5m in wages by replacing him with James Trafford on £75k per week at £25m on 6 year contract, the club would save £2.7m per year on wages and over the next three years make the £8m loss back in wage saving alone, so I can see him going as well, SJR, Wilcox and Amorim all want him gone so he’ll be gone!

    You missed out Onana.
    I did and just recently addressed it, his sales cost to break even is £28.2m but he’s on relatively high wages for an average Goalkeeper!

    Basically swapping him out for Trafford or Ramsdale makes total sense on and off the field.
