You look at a player like Onana and after this year, his amortised cost would still be £28.4m as he has 3 years left on his contract, so selling him for £20m means the club makes a loss of £8.4m however his wages are quite high for a GK on £6.5m per year, the club would still owe £19.5m in wages by replacing him with James Trafford on £75k per week at £25m on 6 year contract, the club would save £2.7m per year on wages and over the next three years make the £8m loss back in wage saving alone, so I can see him going as well, SJR, Wilcox and Amorim all want him gone so he’ll be gone!

Of the £236m he’s invested only £60m is left let that sink in and £89m to pay in legacy transfer instalments in September, one of them is buying sold, if not then I can’t see us with no European football spending more than £40-50m maximum.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe says young talents such as Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho WILL NOT be up for sale just to bring in finances.
Ratcliffe: "No no. We won't be selling players because of the state we are in financially.
"The club had got bloated so we reduced that and will finish it with a lean and efficient organisation. That's how we will address the costs. The player decisions will all be focused on how we are going to improve performance. That's all."

He also said Dan Ashworth was worth the wait and one of the best DOF in EPL, he paid £7-8m in pay offs for a guy that worked 3 months, come on now?
