I am dreading this, this could make or break our season.

Hopefully Park is back for this. After the two defeats playing with 4-4-2, I can't see anything but a 4-3-3 formation.

Surely now our luck must be over and we're due a good performance and result to match? 6 days away, damn its going to be a long week!!!! Hope we win this, knock them out and their season goes off like it did when we knocked them out 3 years ago.

Would nice to win the FA cup again and beating Arsenal only leaves a certain team who'll be as dangerous. Reckon it will be close being FA cup, 2-1 I reckon.

VDS
Rafael Rio Vidic Evra
Fletcher Carrick Scholes
Nani/Giggs Rooney Park

Don't we play Marseille the following Tuesday? I think this is a very tricky game selection-wise for SAF.

The match of the crybabies .At this point I couldn't care less about the FA Cup tbh, as arrogant as that sounds

Same here. Even though it's a great chance to win it this time.

However the PL is all I care about. Exits in either Cup won't disappoint me if we were to win the League.

I have myself a ticket for this. I fully expect this will be the battle of the second strings.

I can understand United playing a weakened team. Injuries aside, why would you do the same?

At this moment in time, I couldn't give a piss about anything else other than the league. Two defeats in a row has stirred this in me.

Come next Saturday, I'll be more up for it I'd say but right now, I couldn't care about the FA Cup or CL.

Number 19 is what I want. I'd choose next week to put Park and Valencia back into the fold and see how they do.

Simply because, as you say, there are some injuries, and Barca will have taken a lot out of our team, win or lose. We'll rest one centre-half so Squillaci has a game, Diaby will play over Song, no Walcott, no RVP, so expect Chamakh to play. It'll be a mix of the first and second string at best.

I fecking care, stop disrepecting the fa cup... and our players need a kick up the arse after 2 dreadful performances.....

We're at home... so that's kind of a good sign.

A nice good win would be lovely for us - and a big blow for Arsenal. After getting kicked out of the CL and the FA Cup in the same week... they're confidence will be well knocked. :)

Right, what result do we want Arsenal to get against Barca on Tuesday?

A win would give them a huge boost going into the game at the weekend whereas we're on the back of two tough defeats and also gives them something else to think about in the run in, but a loss could demoralise them (bringing them down to our level of pity) but leaves them to concentrate solely on the league.

want arsenal to lose of course, no brainer.....

Dream scenario:

van der Sar

Rafael
Ferdinand
Vidic
Evra

Nani
Fletcher
Scholes
Anderson
Giggs

Rooney

SUBS: Kuszczak, O'Shea, Smalling, Carrick, Valencia, Park, Hernandez.

I do admit it's highly unlikely that Nani will be available but I will change the team as and when we hear any official news (as with Ferdinand, Anderson, Park, Valencia etc) from the club with regards to injuries. I'd definitely back us with that team though.

So they can concentrate on trying to win the league, whilst keeping the clear favourites for the CL in the competition?
Do you know what would it mean? Arsenal better than Barcelona.

I think I'd like two week ban from Cafe, don't think it would be nice to read Pete, Jo, Gillespie and others.

we have no chance winning the CL anyway regardless.althought we should still overcome Marseille.

If that's the worst that would come from an Arsenal win then I'm all for it.

I reckon we'll see some interesting team rotation in this game...

Didn't Arsenal suffer a backlash from us a few years ago in the FA Cup? 4-0 I think it was. I'm sure we had lost a few games beforehand and everyone was writing us off.

2008 I think, we beat them in the FA Cup after dropping points two games in a row (draw and loss) :D

jokes aside. Which thread starter has a 100% or as close to it record?

kin serious with the run in.
I remember I had one draw and about six or seven wins in December/January.

But that really means nothing. ;)

Oh, a draw at Tottenham and that unfamous anniversary loss to City at Old Trafford six days before Arsenal.

--------------Lindegaard

--Rafael-----Smalling----Vidic-----Evra

--------Gibson----Fletcher---Carrick

---Giggs-------------------------Rooney

-----------------Hernandez

One of my best days at OT. No Ronaldo. 3 goals before HT, 2 from Fletcher. Eboue got sent off and Nani took the mick out of the Arsenal lot with some fancy kick ups.

Team should be....

GK: Lindegaard

RB: Rafael
CB: Smalling
CB: Vidic
LB: Evra

RM: Valencia
CM: Fletcher
CM: Carrick
CM: O'Shea
LM: Giggs

CF: Rooney

Subs: PIG, Fabio, Brown, Gibson, Scholes, Hernandez, Berbatov

I'm working on the assumption that Nani is fecked which is going to be a massive loss for us not only for the rest of the season but this game especially. I read that this is the game that Valencia may be back for hence his inclusion. Marseille in mid week is probably more important but we want to progress especially with it being Arsenal

It's hard to know what will happen in their game with Barca at the moment but either way I think Wenger will view the league as more important so I'll go 2-0 Rooney and Hernandez with the goals
