MANCHESTER UNITED U21 VS. MANCHESTER CITY U21

Disappointed that Pereira isn't playing, it would be different if I thought he had a genuine chance of being involved on Saturday but he'll most likely just be making up the numbers on the bench.

Tuanzebe and Varela with the first team i suppose. As would be Pereira.

Doesn't seem Keane will be though.

Guys does anybody get down to watch the U21s at all? I'm going to head down on Monday night against Reading. I am a One United member - can I just turn up with my membership card and get in for free ?

Thanks for the Januzaj answers! He's not having a very successful return is he?! Busted flush?

It's been a poor couple of seasons but it is all about how he takes it, if he gets his head down over the summer and gets his work in then he is still young enough that there is still no reason why he can't be a great player.

Interesting to see how Regan Poole plays in midfield.

Tidy goal. tFM completely fecks up and then plays an excellent ball.

Harrop is quite injury prone isn't he ?

El Fittouri Urgh....

Why not Mitchell or Rashford ?

Love has really stepped up in recent weeks.

Poole has done decently in midfield though bit strange he's there and Mensah at RB.

Didn't even notice Redmond was playing till late on.

Decent half from us, City have looked so blunt, Poole and Keane impressing for me.

Rothwell is such a lovely player, great to see him back on the pitch.

A pretty dour first half but our goal was nicely worked, hopefully Harrop is ok, I always worry when young players try to play on after a knock.

Just to remind that Williams,Fosu-Mensah and Regan Poole are all still eligible for the U18s.

Beautiful play from Keane.

Not 1 player i have seen sticking out for the City u21, yet all these talk about them having the best youngsters.

I think they were talking about the U-12s and U-16s. They only recently amped up their recruiting efforts so they're still a ways away from the U-21 team being competitive.

Fair enough. The idea of that still does not impress me to be fair. Its what they can do when they are 'ready' and a lot of talents stagnate or decline and you never hear about them ever again.
