Manchester United Transfers '13

Gutted about Thiago. He would have been perfect for us, a type of player we have needed for years.
Strootman looks set for Roma...were going to end up blowing 30 odd million on Baines and Garay aren't way. Sigh.

This is Anderson's season!
Fletcher is back!
Giggs still has all the leftover energy from ruining people's lives!
Jones can also play in midfield!

Nothing to worry about, fellas! Fellas? Is that a chainsaw? Guys, seriously.... STAAAAHP! UAHGSUAHDSFDHG!

Well, what worries me the most is a lack of "realistic" muppet targets remaining. There's still six weeks left of the transfer window. Who the feck are we gonna end up not getting in all that time?

Even fecking lower tier muppet targets such as Strootman and Wanyama are slipping from our grasp.

How will we even manage to have a team ready for West Brom?

Relegation beckons, I reckon(s).

Gareth barry or fellaini, baines and garay and we will have done well.

The only thing Barry can enforce is laughter amongst the fans, and not in a good way.

I can understand Fellaini but Gareth Barry? Not a chance I'd be happy with him he's well past his best.

Midfield enforcer with a bit of presence, left back because evra is probably leaving, replacement for vidic. Good enough to challenge.

Gareth Barry can be two of the above. Garay can play at all three positions.

 Can't believe people are still being picky. Honestly, at this rate, just someone that makes sure we won't be a 100% reliant on Carrick would be good.

Yep, barry would do well as a stand in for carrick when the latter is injured and work well with him as well. Very underrated on here.

Could see us pounce for barry now and launch a sneaky swoop now that he is available. Would be funny to see bluemoon up in arms about it.

Our fans would be up in arms about it never mind that lot.

I honestly don't think we'll buy anyone significant, maybe some unproven youngster we've never heard of. Disappointing as feck so far, and Moyes doesn't have a name like Sir Alex did, or like the managers at the other big clubs have, and we'll end up being beaten to every one of our targets. I'm really negative now, and I really hope I'm wrong, but I have a bad feeling about this transfer window.

It's not that bad. Barry from the left feeding balls to RVP.

Thiago isn't there yet as a seriously top class central midfielder so it's hardly the end of the world, BUT it would be bad if we do not sign at least another central midfielder. For me, we don't need to make signings for other positions such as the likes of Baines. It's just someone to play next to Carrick. I think it's all geared up for a raid for Fellaini?
In any event, I think we can forget entertaining any realistic possibilities of winning the Champions League next season (without a CM signing); the Premier League I'm not sure about.
Those who cite last season's triumph must remember how City and Chelsea under-performed, something unlikely to happen next season.

Signings are overrated. We've been awesome at promoting young midfielders into the first team, so I expect that'll be the answer.

Nah. Ferdinand, Giggs, Rooney, Jones, and Rafael have played as CMs. Valencia has too for Honduras. Young has played from the middle previously. We tured Ando to a CM from AM, we can do the same to kagawa. RVP seems to be talented enough to go a job there.

Why even gamble with unknown quality?

I'd be happy with any central midfielder and a young center back (depends on if Rio is retiring this year).

I refuse to believe that we'll start the season without at least one midfield signing.

Not wanting Gareth Barry is not being picky. I'd rather play with ten men.

I know him fairly well, I do a fair bit of business with him and his cousin. Him signing for united would result in loads of free away tickets for me. I'd rather listen to the games on the radio though. Sorry Gareth.

Problem with us is that we buy these unknown youngsters and they stay unknown. I have doubts about our scouting in some areas.

I think we need to make a big name signing for Moyes sake. I have said before that if we don't the media will blame poor Moyes. United can't attract the big names without Sir Alex. I can see it now.

Even with SAF at the helm, the club was finding it tough to compete for the big names mainly due to the club's wage balance. It can only get more difficult now with Moyes tbh.
