Manchester United Kits 2017/18

All I can say is that we will still be sponsored by and wearing a Chevrolet logo. It just may not be the same one.

Whether it'll be any better is another matter.

It looks like the players have spilt their drinks down the front of it. Dreadful look. Top half, perfectly fine. Bottom half, unsightly.

Even the ad campaign is half arsed and ugly. Just casually loitering around the backstairs.

I won't be buying it, but I bet it sells pretty well. Kits that divide opinion, even if in a sample such as on this forum the split looks overwhelmingly weighted towards negative, seem to sell well simply because they're at least markedly different from the pack.

Anyone know where to get this? Doesn't seem to be on their website.

It's not. Only the long sleeve version is on the website. I'm hoping it will end up on the website at some point, I think about dropping by one of the stores too just to check. If not I'll end up with the long sleeve. It's our nicest kit in a long time. It's wasted as a goalkeeper kit really.

Christ. That third kit is just too ugly to comprehend. Whoever signed off on that need the fashion police thrown at him

I hate how our badge colour on these new kits changes depending on the colour of the shirt.

Like I mentioned before, the short-sleeved is customised just for Romero.

The first time he played for us, he just used scissors to chop off the bottom half of the sleeves, and obviously Adidas didn't like it. Now the kit people sew them.

I never understand the fuss on here about chevrolet. The logo looks no better or worse than Vodafone, AIG, AON etc or even the much loved Sharp

You can get last season's black away with short sleeves on jersey777, so maybe it will be available on their website.

It's a fake obviously but it's your best bet if you want to look like big serge.

I don't normally care much about these things. But the sheer egregious hideosity of that takes the breath away. The worst looking thing since -----ever. Hope we don't have to wear it too often. Or even once.

Thought grey kits had been consigned to history's dustbin twenty plus years ago.

Ghastly.

 Did he really? I love him even more now

It obviously does though. Firstly it takes up more space on the front of the shirt and secondly it doesn't allow for modification to fit with the colours of the rest of the kit.

All of Sharp, Vodafone, AIG and Aon could be recoloured to match the trim on the kits, whether it was white, black, blue, silver or yellow, so that it didn't stick out like a sore thumb. That instantly made them easier on the eye.

In terms of the least offensive to most offensive, I'd rank them:

Sharp
Aon
AIG
Vodafone
Chevrolet

Aniello Carotenuto - that's the wanker responsible for our third away kit.

If he's registered on this forum I'd expect to see him banned immediately.

That's the worst kit I have seen us wear. I don't know how a team of designers can sit there and be proud of that.

It's a fan made. It's not supposed to be the best ever is it ? I think we'll see if it's good or not on seeing it on the pitch.

The home and away ( black ) kits look really amazing on the pitch so far even so I have my doubts about them on seeing them from pictures alone, they appeared really great.

Kits always turn out and look good on the players as they (well, most) have the physique to do so. On fans it will probably look ugly

Blaming the designer is wrong imo. The guy had an idea, but it did not turn out to be that good irl. The ugly grey colours were chosen by Adidas before the competition, nothing he could do about that. So I blame them for choosing some of the most boring and unusual colour combination. This kit would look much better if it was white with black details instead, and the print in slightly darker colours.

Thanks for asking my question cnuts!! Do the training kits the playrers wear have their name/number on the back? I was thinking about ordering one but website is not giving option to add numbering/lettering.

No they don't.

The trouble with a lot of our kits is that they are too gimmicky. That they always have to incorporate something historical. Then it just turns into a complete mess. In fact a lot of them end up looking cheap and nasty. It would be some consolation if they actually were cheap.

If that third kit was White and trim on the neck/sleeves was red and the Trinity design was red, it might look semi decent.

It's the lack of color that kills it. It reminds me of when you open up the kit creator in PES and you start with the blank template.

It's not the logo. It's the fact that it's gold every time regardless of the colour scheme on the kits.

"Oh the entire kit is black and orange? Well let's slap a big gold cross in the middle of it!"

"What's that? The new away kit is blue and red? You know what would look great on that... a big gold cross."

Seriously. If they simply used the outline of the cross, it would be way better. They've done it on Rugby jerseys so why have they not done it at United?

This...it's still a shite logo for a kit but it would be better if it were a diff color. Can you show an example of said rugby kit?

Love our training kit. Nice and simple. Home kit is kind of decent, nothing special. Away kit is really good. Just ordered myself. Looks classy. The third kit, well it's not that bad like some make out. Did anyone see juventus's third kit, looks horrendous. My only gripe with our 3rd kit is, adidas could have chosen any other different colour and they chose grey. No saying grey is bad but you don't mix grey with white, maybe black or dark blue could have looked more decent. When this whole fan making the kit thing got out , I was kind of excited , thinking maybe we could see a yellow green beauty by adidas or something totally different in a good way.

Again not the worst kit I have seen but it's a missed opportunity.
