Manchester United 3:1 Crystal Palace (Tue 19th July, 11:10 UK time)

I just wonder whether Ronaldo would actually be a hindrance to this team. The front three have looked really unselfish

He was last season too in so much as he needs the team built around him and he can't play certain ways. We will be better off long term if he is out of the team.

Has anyone noticed that the team is improving in terms of Positional play?

Thing is where can he even go at this point? There are maybe 5 clubs who can afford him but I don’t see them wanting or needing him.

Im of course seeing the Atletico chat but could they afford him? Would he tarnish his legacy at Real?

The problem with Malacia is that he tries the tackle everytime.

Sometimes, they don't work, and then he's in no man's land.

The problem with Shaw is that he rarely tries tackles, he just follows his man.

I believe that ETH wants agression, either Shaw steps up, or he gets benched.

I will reserve judgement until New Year. If we’re still playing like this at that point I’ll start to take my hands away from my face and tentatively start to believe. I’ve been burnt too many times to go balls deep into true belief.

For now though, he’s doing a good job and I do have a bit of a man crush on ten Hag. That beige suit…ooft.

Aye, obviously bringing over this style to competitive football is a whole different story.

However, at least we know that ETH has a clear style and a way he wants to play. With Ole, it was all a-bit of a mess. It'll take time though, and patience will be needed!
